To not merge, given that the Kurdish movement is distinct from the slogan and its international uses. Klbrain (talk) 22:15, 21 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I propose that "Woman, Life, Freedom movement" be merged into "Woman, Life, Freedom." The content of the two articles overlaps significantly, and a merge would avoid content duplication, enhance coherence, and ensure all relevant information is centrally located. This consolidation would provide a unified, comprehensive view of the topic, benefiting readers seeking information on this significant slogan and its impact. Please discuss your thoughts and provide any additional insights. --Zia231 (talk) 15:41, 26 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I oppose a merge per WP:WEIGHT, since the current article discuss a movement related to Iran but the Woman, Life, Freedom article is focusing on the origins of it which is related to Kurdish people. 3000MAX (talk) 22:24, 5 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
these two article discuss 2 different movements and a merge can give undue weight to the article. 3000MAX (talk) 22:25, 5 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Woman life freedom movement, deeply inspired and owing to its Kurdish origin Zhin Zhian Azadi, is a separate social movement in the context of Iran and the Islamic republic and there should be separate articles. Wikireviran (talk) 08:59, 12 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The Women Life Freedom movement in Iran is a part of the same Kurdish movement. Cited NYEEditor (talk) 18:32, 3 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose. Important topic likely to increasingly require careful distinction between the 2022 protests and the Kurdish origins of the movement. I suggest more specific titles and/or a disambiguation page might be required eg.
Women, Life, Freedom protests would cover 2022 and link to Mahsa Amini page etc.
Jin, Jiyan, Azadî (Women, Life, Freedom) Kurdish Movement with a lede that includes a sentence which explains how the movement relates to the 2022 protests. 49.185.163.18 (talk) 10:56, 20 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose. These are two different topics; the motto was existed before the Iran's movement and then widely spread in ME, EU and even other parts of the world. We'll can't write aboute the spreading of this motto for example in India or Kurdish women's movement in Syria and Turkiye's Kurdistan, if these two been merged. So, I'm opposed of merging and I think it can distorted the very important history of this motto.Paraw (talk) 13:33, 17 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
