Are the 2 station articles referring to the same place? Keith D (talk) 12:40, 15 June 2009 (UTC)
- Support - (i) Dow (vol. 3 pp.113-115) several times mentions "Winteringham" and "Winteringham Haven", with the clear implication of two separate stations, the former being a junction and the latter a terminus, the two being half a mile apart, but he never uses the word "Haven" alone; (ii) the navigable 1947 OS map linked from Haven railway station shows only the stations at Winteringham and Whitton; whilst the position of Winteringham Haven can be surmised, there hardly seems scope for a "Haven" station in addition. However, my point (ii) is WP:OR so only point (i) counts. --Redrose64 (talk) 11:22, 14 September 2009 (UTC)
- Further to the above - I now possess Butt, who does not mention any station named either "Haven" or "Winteringham Haven" - just "Winteringham" (opened 15 July 1907, closed 13 July 1925). --Redrose64 (talk) 20:43, 21 January 2010 (UTC)
Merge. This page has an accurate summary of the sidings, the other seems to have been created in error. There were certainly railway services to the Haven. The Local Web Site even has photos of the installation, but only refers to goods operations at the Haven. There were, of course, such things as "goods only" stations, which were still stations for the purposes of routing and accounting for small parcels and other items that did not constitute a vanload. There is no record of passenger services.--Robert EA Harvey (talk) 21:02, 7 April 2011 (UTC)
