This illustration presents the beginning of the luncheon at the end of Act II, in which drunken shenanigans accidentally reveal the gender of the disguised men. "Enter the 'Daughters of the Plough', bearing Luncheon."

Illustration:Family?
[edit]No mention of his family. He certainly had a son. Valetude (talk) 22:01, 22 January 2018 (UTC)
- He had a wife, and to support her in a nursing home he had to produce potboilers. (Information from a former housekeeper of his.) To get the most from his pictures I think you have to appreciate his amazing technique, especially his washes.Seadowns (talk) 15:22, 24 June 2018 (UTC)
