Merger proposal

[edit]

There is no reason why there needs to be a separate article for Poison's cover of this song. The information needs to be merged into this article. -Xnux the Echidna 23:13, 11 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think this article should have stuff about the band Poison in the infobox. 24.106.212.86 (talk) 18:23, 15 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

That seems to be a separate question. I agree, though, entirely. David Spector (talk) 11:59, 5 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Genre

[edit]

Why does it say in the first sentence that the song is power pop yet in the infobox it says it's rock? comment added by Surfthetsu (talkcontribs) 18:34, 11 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Power pop is essentially a subgenre of rock, so there's no reason it can't be both. But it should say "power pop" in the Infobox as well, and so I've added that--good catch. Besides that, I've organized things and added some info on the recording and the hit cover version. Brettalan (talk) 23:09, 23 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Source for release date?

[edit]

I see a correction of the release date of the single, but no source for the correction. The 1979 listing at least had a source, albeit one I would hardly take as definitive. Does anyone have a good source for the single's release date? Brettalan (talk) 16:56, 17 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

"Wherever You Are"

[edit]

This is getting tiresome...someone keeps adding "Whereever You Are" as the next single. When I first saw it, I took it at face value, and corrected the formatting. Others deleted it. Looks like they're right--the song appears to be older, and I see no sign that it's the next single (there's no follow-up on the group's discography page).

Seems like a silly reason for an edit war. If it actually IS the next single, then please provide a reference. Otherwise, please stop. And either way, the next single in a chronology should not be in bold. Let me know if anyone has questions. Thanks. Brettalan (talk) 00:42, 8 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
