"The school also boasts enthusiastic PR consultants, who spend great amounts of time to keep the Westtown's Wikipedia page in line with its most recent brochure." Whoever posted this has a great sense of humor.140.232.180.133 (talk) 01:31, 23 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I go to class in the griffith science center almost every day and its a bit of a stretch to call it "state of the art." This article seems like it was written by a school administrator, it almost reads like an advertisement.

I'm takign out that bit about the granolithic because I walk on it every day and its just a really long mostly-cement (there's some small laid-stone parts) sidewalk, it's nothing special. Lophoole 20:38, 27 April 2007 (UTC)Lophoole[reply]

I go to Westtown and I feel like this article was written by some really annoying PR-type who the school pays way too much to get onto Wikipedia and make the school look much better than it really is. This page wasn't always like this; this advertising, which must've been done by the school, must be relatively recent. just deleting the page on westtown would be just fine with me. especially if it came back as a stub, most of the info currently on the page is pure-BS that just worships every aspect of Westtown. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.94.39.174 (talk) 20:10, 16 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I second the above statements, I'm a recent alumnus the science center is about as far as anything built in the early 70's and not renovated or updated since can be. This entire article is written like an ad. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.239.183.26 (talk) 22:54, 3 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

notable alumni

[edit]

The inclusion of Andrew Kane '02 as a 'notable graduate' seems quite premature. This seems more likely a demonstration of a idiosyncratic fan obsession or a shameless self-promotion.

Though every child is honored at a friend school, introducing graduates who are visible to the culture at large can hardly be described as celebrity worship. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Leontes (talkcontribs) 22:56, July 22, 2005

While Andrew Kane '02 may be premature, the elimination of all notable alumni seems extreme. Many articles on other academic institutions contain a list of notable graduates. Why not the case here? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 165.82.68.77 (talk) 15:33, September 18, 2005

Wasn't the inventor of the Flexi Flyer sled a Westtown alumnus? Why isn't he included on this list? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.58.223.11 (talk) 00:44, 23 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have included Samuel Leeds Allen, who invented the flexible flyer, to the notable alumni section.140.232.180.133 (talk) 00:20, 23 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:WesttownLogo.JPG

[edit]

Image:WesttownLogo.JPG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
