[edit]The CPR constructed the station in 1910, not 1914. Comar4 (talk) 20:22, 3 January 2009 (UTC)
commons pix of old station
[edit]there's lots of pics for it, it really needs its own article; the dab should be CPR Station (Vancouver) but that probably redirects here; some cool pix:
- File:Vancouver CPR depot (HS85-10-24306).jpg is from trackside, about where Waterfront Station is today, maybe a block or so further east, 1911.
- File:US Cruiser West Virginia coaling at Vancouver, British Columbia (HS85-10-24310).jpg, also 1911, from Granville Street about halfway down the block from Hastings, that's the old post office building at left.Skookum1 (talk) 05:17, 11 July 2013 (UTC)
Including former Millennium Line service in infobox
[edit]I tried to do it earlier but it looked terrible in the preview. I would like to add it to the infobox as other railway station infoboxes include former services. Thoughts Cganuelas (talk) 05:17, 26 December 2016 (UTC)
- I really would prefer we not. Infoboxes are meant to be brief summaries and the historical information works better in the text (in my opinion). It's interesting (to some) to know what used to happen at a particular station but it's arguably less crucial than what is currently happening; it could get very confusing for the casual reader if it becomes difficult to differentiate between current services and historical ones. Obviously for Vancouver stations, the historical information is minimal but I can't imagine burdening all the station infoboxes of older metro systems worldwide with a full historical accounting of the history of the various services that made use of them.
- And are we going to show former Millennium Line service at all the formerly interlined Expo stations between Waterfront and Columbia? Because I'm definitely against doing that.
- Anyway, my two cents. —Joeyconnick (talk) 06:50, 26 December 2016 (UTC)

[edit]Since this is like 5 years old, I'm gonna restart the idea. In every article about CTA stations, they have former services, alongside a track layout, which I think is really cool but I'll open up a new section on that later. Cganuelas (talk) 06:05, 14 December 2021 (UTC)
