I did it! and I'm proud!
I wrote most (but not most) of the links for the Warriors online phenomenon, (yay). Before this precious history of Warriors online growth is lost in time, I just NEEDED to write it down! It is all very interesting and I'm proud I recorded it at a (I think) crucial moment.
-Thank ya
Advertising
I strongly object to the advertising used on this page. It is inappropriate for a Wikipedia page. The user-owned sites should be added in at the end, on "Warriors-Related Links".
I MUST AGREE
With that, but I think exceptions should be made for Warriors Wish and Hidden Clans, as these are a 'real' part of the Warriors phenomenon, but we must draw the line because there is spamming. Warriors fans (you must understand) have advertised anywhere, everywhere they could since the begining of its onling revolution that fairly so changed the face of its fanbase, growing and forming more of it. I think this trend (of spamming just about everywhere) comes from the fact that the earliest things online concerning Warriors was petitions, and fans took advantage there by signing over and over just to advertise. Even though I wrote the 'Warriors online phenomenon (not all the spamming links below) I used only nessesary links that 'really' were important to Warriors. So please, don't delete (all) the links, such as the Hidden Clans game site, Hidden Clans forum, movie petition, and more that so contributed to what we have now.
-Thank ya
^- Reply: I agree that the petition should be kept. However, I fail to understand how Hidden Clans and Warriors Wish pertain to the "phenomenon". I agree that they are quality sites, but they really should not be advertised here at all, the same as the other RPGs. Additionally, it is juvenile to include them in the "Warriors Phenomenon" section to such a great extent. To put it simply, a person who knew nothing of Warriors would not care how many members they have when they read the section; they would really only like to know about the phenomenon. Do you understand? A simple link is OK, but the rest sounds like advertisement rhetoric to me. I've shortened it and improved the grammar and spelling. Additionally, I have removed all sites from the "RPGs/Forums" that ask for more members. Shame on you. This is not a place to advertise.
Proposal
Hi everyone! My name is Oakstar, and I used to run a Warriors RPG (It's still doing well, I just have too much stuff to do my senior year!). I like this article but I am sick and tired of the shameless advertising that goes on here. It would confuse anyone interested in the series to see all those RPG's advertising all over the place, which is really not cool.
I think that only the top 5 Warriors RPGs should advertise here, and I had an idea to find out the top ones. What if I (Or anyone else who can promise to remain active) created a Proboards message-board and sites submitted their URLs and descriptions to the admin? Then, the admin would pick the top 20 sites that they liked and put them on a poll. Members would be free to vote for whichever site they thought was the best. There would be a new poll every week, so the list would be up-to-date. Then, the admin(s?) would post the top 5 winners for that week and THEN those RPGs would be allowed to post their links here.
I think that's fair--I mean, every person who has advertised on the article has obviously had the best interests of Wikipedia users, right? Thus, it should be no problem to present them with quality RPG material. I doubt my old RPG would ever make it on there (it only has about 150 members); that's not why I'm doing this. But the free-for-all that is the sad state of the links list is just plain despicable. What do you guys think? As far as I can tell, it's the best idea we've got to date. ^-^
I don't agree with the proposal
I have an RPG site, and I have joined lots of others. If you did what you were proposing, it will bring far too many members to those already overpopulated sites. One site I am at is Hidden Clans. They have so many members, they are close to an overload of members, even just in the past week, twice they had about 60 guests on the site at once, and no, I am not over exagerating. They even asked me to delete the paragraph about them here, to help bring their guest numbers under control. Also, some new sites are rapidly gaining interest, like mine. They get at least five more members every week, more than some of the older ones. They might not have over 100 members, but chances are, they will soon. I agree about some of the advertising, and think all of the advertising should be kept to the bottom of the page, not anywhere else, as they keep popping up everywhere, spoiling the page.
Me either. Besides, they would just delete it.
- No offense, but I've been on a site that has had 789 members on at once. 24.183.40.221 15:06, 26 November 2006 (UTC) Mysterypaw
I do agree with the proposal... or something like it.
What you're saying, though, is that some sites don't want to be advertised on here because they want to keep their member levels low. That's all well and good, but I think Oakstar has a good point when she says that it's a free-for-all. Wikipedia is NOT a place to advertise.
Don't believe me? Visit: http://www.wikia.com/wiki/Terms_of_use#Advertising
And I quote: "Commercial activities which have not been authorized by Wikia, Inc. are not permitted on the site. You may not sell or otherwise commercially exploit the use of this service, or access to the service."
You might reply, "but this isn't commercial!"
To which I answer:
"No user shall add advertising that has not been approved by the owner of Wikia."
You could say, "Yeah, but we're providing people with a place to role-play. It's a service!"
How pathetic is that? If it's really a service then "new" RPGs are no service at all to people who just want to go to an active RPG, because "new" RPGs do not have enough members, hence the "new" in the title. If you really want to provide non-warriors guests with a service that they can really use, give them a directory that sorts the available RPGs so that people can search for the perfect ones for them. Websites that don't want members don't have to list themselves.
Again, Wikipedia is NOT a place where RPGs can list their URLs in the hopes of getting more members. I don't care how "good" it's been for them, this is NOT the place. It is against the rules and it's going to get the entire section deleted if an admin sees it.
--Hushpelt 21:14, 21 June 2006 (UTC)
- This isn't Wikia. The relevant policy for Wikipedia is Wikipedia:External links. If you were looking for the Wikia site on warriors, please see Wikiasite:Warriors. Angela. 15:41, 24 July 2006 (UTC)
Something else to consider
While Hushpelt was harsh, she has a good point. It is more correctly outlined here:
http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Wikipedia:What_Wikipedia_is_not#Wikipedia_is_not_a_soapbox
That is the reason that RPGs may not be directly advertised here: firstly, you wouldn't see content like that on an encyclopedia (http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Wikipedia:What_Wikipedia_is_not#When_you_wonder_what_to_do), but additionally it cannot be used for "propaganda or advocacy of any kind".
External Links
The lengthy list of external links is ludacris, it is far too long and boderline spam. We need to follow a standard of somesort of notability for each site. Yanksox 22:22, 28 June 2006 (UTC)
- Unless there are objections I am going to remove all the links (except the official page, and the creator's page) as being spam and not meeting notability. If you have a reason not to delete a link, post why. Yanksox 03:20, 2 July 2006 (UTC)
- Two days have passed, I will start deleting links. Yanksox 23:18, 4 July 2006 (UTC)
Objection
I would have objected to the removal of all the links had I been here. I have re-added the top two fan-sites, (being Warrior's Wish & StarClan's Mercy) Only the RP sites and a few of the 'fan-sites' had to be deleted. I came here looking for the shrine links and I was very, very dissapointed to find them gone.
Maybe some of the sites that have so much content should be kept up? After all; on the graphics sites you can't add the graphics to Wikipedia.
- The last thing this page needs is more links, it's not within encylopedic standards at all. Any links posted must be official or meet WP:WEB. We need more contextualized content not more links. Yanksox 02:57, 11 July 2006 (UTC)
Just a thought
Ok, anyone is open to criticm on this, but I had a thought, so no one is offended, or annoyed. Instead of having all of these links which I admit get on my nerves as well. Have any of you seen those Top RPG sites? Well, if someone made a Top Warriors RPG, put them on there, and provide the link to it here, that might solve some of our problems, but also make us look more professional.
Yours Truly --Brokenwing06 16:35, 26 July 2006 (UTC)
I didn't add a link to The Moonstone Forums.
Uiop 23:34, 20 July 2006 (UTC)
This is unfair!
Why can't we put Warriors RPG links in the "links" part of the article?!! It's not fair, my friends have Warriors RPGs, they need more members, so I was putting the links to their RPGs for them! Like they say, no good deed goes unpunished! Skystar
I totally agree with you Skystar. Our site has only like 4 main members that are actually online to fill up the whole site! Maybe we should make a site that has links to all the sites and add that link to here.
Sorrelpaw
Actually, that's a really good idea, Sorrelpaw. :) But some jerk would probable take the link down. :'( The reason the links I put up kept getting deleted, was "because it adds on FAR too much to the article!" Yeah. Sure. Two links is soooo much, isn't it. *rolls eyes* Skystar
My Comments
I just have some things to say:
Skystar - Two links isn't a lot, but when everyone says that, and everyone adds two links, it does get bigger - a lot bigger. If you would like your friends' websites to get more members, affiliate with another Warriors website. Also, RPGs are not websites that inform you about Warriors, and they are not official, which is what the people working on the Wikipedia Warriors article are looking for.
Sorrelpaw - I like your idea.
People complaining - I'm sorry if this sounds rude, but if you want that so badly, why don't you just add it yourself? People worked hard to make this. I helped add book summaries, because someone got rid of the whole article before and wrote sentences about the characters. I added the book summaries because a list of characters with two sentences of info about each of them is worse than just having book summaries. Also, medicine cat herbs and terms are added back on.
Thanks, Mysterypaw
- The links problem came up before, so I completely agree with you, Mysterypaw. And that recently-added Warriors characters article helps a lot too. Also, if people want detailed info on the said character, all they need to do is create another article for it.
- Like that, I could easily see Warriors becoming like the Harry Potter articles or something.
Okay, maybe you guys are right, but I still think we should put RPG links for Warriors SOMEWHERE on Wikipedia. Maybe a whole article dedicated to them, since there are a lot? Skystar
- Maybe, but what would it be, just a page full of links? Perhaps there could be a link leading to a page outside of Wikipedia that has a list of RPG links. That might be better.
- TakaraLioness 01:41, 30 August 2006 (UTC)
A new proposal
Why don't we set up a Warriors fan sites page? It would have no conflict about who can post their link. --Res2216firestar 21:20, 30 August 2006 (UTC)
- Sounds good. Skystar
- I suppose that could work, but I'm just worried about how many links there'll be because there are so many RPG sites out there. Go for it then and let's see how it turns out.
- TakaraLioness 07:1
WARRIORS-based Sites?
I thought the Warriors-based sites section uneeded, and it was also reminding me of that link problem that seems to plague this article every so often. It listed a few forums (a few compared to the number there are out here on the net), and if only a few get on, then everyone and their friend will post their own links. Therefore, I deleted the section.
Feel free to complain and stuff, but we really can't have a hundred links leading to forums on here... TakaraLioness 19:55, 20 October 2006 (UTC)
- Agreed with the above. Wikipedia is not a place for links off to fansites. If someone really wants to find one, they can google it and be done with it. DoomsDay349 22:48, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
- It was not meant as a place where we would have seperate links for each forum. It would be one website with a big list of Warriors fan sites. That way, people who wanted their links up could be happy without having 100 links. I will be starting a new section on it in this discussion page and I will try to explain more clearly. 24.183.40.221 15:01, 23 November 2006 (UTC) Mysterypaw
Excuse me, but...
- May I ask why all of my sections about creating a link where anyone who wanted to send in their Warriors links could, and then there'd be a link to it from Wikipedia was deleted? It would help solve the link problem, and I'm sorry if you disagree, but I think it's rude to delete something people have worked on. Disagree if you want, 66.191.117.215 19:31, 19 November 2006 (UTC)Mysterypaw
Warriors Sites
- Everyone knows about that big problem we had where there was lots of advertising. My solution is that somebody opens up a website on a free web server or something they already have. There could be a guestbook or an e-mail address where people could send in the names of their favorite Warriors web sites. We can organize by things like role-plays, information sites, etc. We can then post the link on Wikipedia. Basically it'd be like a Warriors link database. If any one has any ideas or can help, please reply! Mysterypaw
- There are plenty of advertising sites online for RPGs. I don't feel that Wikipedia's bandwidth should be wasted on something that's more appropriate on proper, dedicated sites. The Wiki's bandwidth should be saves for practical information and facts. Link lists are uncessary and difficult to maintain (Warriors Sites come and go like hummingbirds: There's hardly ever time to grab the Camera befor they're gone).
- 68.119.164.63 15:17, 23 November 2006 (UTC)Kitsufox
- It would not only be a role-playing list, it would have other sites. Links would be checked and/or deleted every so often. It would be lots of work but worth it, I think. Mysterypaw
- To be 100% clear, it is not appropriate to use Wikipedia as a repository of links. What Wikipedia Is Not clearly outlines that a list of links is not suitable for an artical, unless they are offical sites that pertain to the subject. That means' the Offical Warrior Cats page and the Guttersnipes page are IT, unless someone decides to add a publisher link or something in that vein.
- It must be accepted that the link list isn't going to happen here, and linking to it is also unacceptable becuase it won't be an offical site, or related in any offical way to the series.
- Kitsufox 19:37, 24 November 2006 (UTC)Kitsufox
- Exactly. This issue has come up before and the answer is still unchanged...
- TakaraLioness 01:29, 25 November 2006 (UTC)
- That article that Kitsufox put up is talking about a list of links ON Wikipedia. I don't believe it says that there's anything wrong with having a link to an Internet link database. 24.183.40.221 14:49, 26 November 2006 (UTC) Mysterypaw
- Even linking the list of links is inappropriate. The only links that should be inlucde are offical ones. A list of Fan site links is not offical. Unless it's the books publisher, books author, or the offical site about the book, it should not be linked. That is included in the Wikipedia Guidelines. Wiki is an encycolpedia, not a repository for Fan-site (which is what your link-list is) advertisements.
- Kitsufox 21:26, 26 November 2006 (UTC)Kitsufox
Then the Harry Potter fandom page violates those guidelines, and should be deleted.--Res2216firestar 22:48, 26 November 2006 (UTC)
- Well, then you can take that up with the people who maintain that page (and I see that you have and got your answer), but this isn't the Harry Potter fandom article to begin with. That article must be correct with the rules, otherwise I think something would've been done about it a long time ago. Even with those Harry Potter fansite links, there was a long debate about it on that talk page.
- TakaraLioness 01:41, 27 November 2006 (UTC)
In regards to the proposal
I appreciate you trying to take a stand, but those links are inappropriate for Wikipedia. None will be allowed. I personally don't mind reverting it, and if it persists we can get semi-protection. The article is about the book series, not about the RPing sites. Those sites, while interesting, have next to nothing to do with the book series in itself. A site, say, about Warriors speculation that is genuine and not just random fancruft, for the next novel is appropriate; fansites, which these are, are not. Sorry. Even if the vote is to approve the proposal, it's not valid; the links will still be reverted. DoomsDay349 18:47, 26 November 2006 (UTC)
Warrior Cats merge
The article Warrior Cats is essentially the same as this one. I have suggested a merge. If there are no complaints I will merge in about week (January 25, 2005). I say merge the character bios. Like a short analysis on who they are, what their personality is, plot points, the like.
Merge preformed.
Strange...
Oh, thanks for expanding this article for me. I started it, but I needed some more. This series is highly enjoyable for anyone! Even if you do not like cats, (like me) you can still enjoy this series. I am waiting for Starlight to be published. Dragon Expert 17:41, 10 February 2006 (UTC)
Yay! I have it! NOW FOR THE 5TH BOOK! Dragon Expert 19:35, 13 April 2006 (UTC)
- What is popa poops? I am deleting this. Mysterypaw
Scourge
Where it shows the characters Scourge from The Darkest Hour should be there. --Mr.Nobody 03:44, 7 June 2006 (UTC)Mr. Nobody
Informative
I think the page is very informative, and I love the series. The medicine cat herbs are interesting, even though I know you should never use them on your own cats.
New Book
I've just read in my Author Tracker notice, that Erin Hunter is writing another book!! Here is the email:
AuthorTracker :: Erin Hunter
Hi everyone--
First of all, a huge fluffy-tailed thank you to everyone who has left a review of The New Prophecy Book Four: Starlight on Amazon.com or BarnesandNoble.com. It’s great to know you are so pleased with the way things are turning out as the Clans settle into their new home. It was really sad to leave the Forest behind after nine action-packed books, but luckily the Lake seems to hold just as many opportunities for adventure and conflict. And for doomed romance, of course!
I’m currently working on three very exciting Warriors titles, which are keeping me busy and out of the sunshine (sigh). The first is Firestar’s Quest, a special self-contained story featuring our beloved Firestar and what he got up to between The Darkest Hour and Midnight, after BloodClan had been driven out of the forest. I’ve also finished the first draft of the manuscript for Power of Three Book One, the start of the brand-new series. The adventures in these books are foreshadowed in a sinister prophecy that Firestar receives in a shadowy cave, far from home… Three will come, kin of your kin, with more power for good or evil than any cat that has walked the forest before. Hmmmm . . . who could these cats be? And will they be a force for good--or will they destroy ThunderClan forever? You’ll have to read the books to find out!
And finally (phew!), I’m putting together a guide to all things Clan and feline that have featured in the books so far. Look out for Warriors: Secrets of the Clans, which comes out next year. It’s been great fun to go back and revisit my favorite scenes and characters, and investigate some more unusual viewpoints. Ever wonder what StarClan thought about Bluestar’s decision to give up her kits? Or how Fernpaw and Ashpaw really felt about leading the vicious pack of dogs away from their Clanmates? All will be revealed, I promise!
That’s all for this month. I’ll be in touch again in August!
Very best wishes, Erin

Revampage
PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE YOU EDIT
- Ok, I have quasi-nukified this article, so we can start afresh. It's clear you guys know about this series, but it was getting way out of hand. So, I recommend, you read WP:MoS and Wikipedia's standards on other articles. I think a good article can now come out of here. Yanksox 23:25, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
More detailed page
Most of you will be happy to know that I reverted the Warrior Cats page back to the original version! Enjoy and keep reading Warriors!
- I have reverted this, please add to the current article as the old one was not nearly up to our standards. Yanksox 04:17, 17 July 2006 (UTC)
Could someone tell me
Why is the newer page better than the older one?? The older one was more detailed and just perfect. The new one is rather...short of info
- You can expand this article. The issue with the old page was the fact that's it was not encylopedic, and just something that you find on fansites. Yanksox 04:28, 17 July 2006 (UTC)
Keep an eye on Changes
We need to keep a close eye on the stuff that people are putting in here. Someone entered that the loner Coal was Firestar's brother, and they kept saying that Hawkfrost was Hawkstar. Also, there are quite a few characters that have been left out, such as Willowpelt, who I think was Whitestorm's mate. I don't have much time to be working on it, but I might check back in every once in a while. 24.183.40.221 00:52, 5 December 2006 (UTC) Pheasantfoot
- It's not possible to add every single character. Basically, only the most important need to be added.
Corruped Page Layout
Something was really wierd about the page layout, so I reverted it to the last edit. Also, not to self-advertise, but what about The Moonstone Forums (warriorcats.tk) with 200 members?
Uiop 00:47, 20 July 2006 (UTC)
It does not matter how many members there are, there are some sites with over a thousand members. But that does not give them the right to advertise any more than other sites. I took that link off. I was thinking that someone could just compile a page with all of the Warriors RP sites that people want up. (They would do this on a different site, and then link to the page here. Just an idea, what do you guys think?) 24.183.40.221 00:52, 5 December 2006 (UTC) Pheasantfoot
I'm waiting....
How is this article better than the old one?(I know I have asked this a million times but I still don't get it!) Let's face it..why are only boring old paragraphs about the backs of each book on here and there are STILL no character bios?! It's been a month and still no progress at all...it should have character bios and more desciption about the books on here. All I am trying to say is Wikipedia...come on
A Small Note
I would like to ask that when anyone is editing the pages, please only put things in that are confirmed facts. As in Cherith of Kate have said them, directly. It is very vague to say "So and so becomes such and such/dies/has kits". This is especially true for the Twilight and Sunset sections. If you do not provide a source, I will assume it's faulty and may take the liberty of removing it.
I agree with the deletion of links, there are plenty of other sites to post those on. --Dusk 20:35, 9 July 2006 (UTC)
- I would like to comment on an example of what Duskstripe is saying. A few weeks ago in August 2006, someone had added to the Twilight section about who had died, and other very big spoilers. Although I knew it to be true, it should be removed from the article because it does not fit with the layout of the other books. Thank you for your time. Sunset7611
I agree with the fact of putting down information that isn't confirmed and has no source. An example of this would be the "Former Known Clan Members" of ThunderClan and RiverClan. I would really like to know who put that information down. Most of that cannot be confirmed by a source, so no matter how sure that information is, there's no way to prove it. I'm not saying it's COMPLETELY untrue, I mean, I agree that Wolfpelt might have been the medicine cat before Spottedleaf, but there's just no way to prove it. Someone prove me wrong, because I really would like to know where this information came from! Spottedstar 11:18, 20 April 2007 (UTC)
- Er. Yeah. Cats like that that have never appeared anywhere in the books or from the authors, those we're not about to count. TakaraLioness 19:41, 20 April 2007 (UTC)
- Okay, that's what I thought. Someone was putting all that false information down and saying that they "knew" that stuff, and yet they had no source to it. So yeah, I was just making sure. Thanks! :) Spottedstar 16:14, 20 April 2007 (UTC)
What Happened to the Character List?
What happened to the character list? I thought that was a major part, and should stay.
--Moonshimmer 04:04, 29 July 2006 (UTC)
- The character list is now on it's own page.
- Kitsufox 20:29, 28 November 2006 (UTC)
WOW you guys have done an EXCELLENT job on the warriors page, it is super easy to read! =]
What happened to all of the other things, too?
There used to be a character page, and a list of herbs, too! Where did it go? I agree with Moonshimmer, and all of that stuff should stay. If it makes the article too long, there should be another article on it. Also, there isn't really much description on each book; it's just the blurb at the back of the book.
--SapphireSprite 15:47, 1 August 2006
- All of these things are now on their own page. *Ruby
- JSYK, Moonshimmer, and SapphireSprite, if you're wandering around Wikipedia looking for the page its called Clan (Warriors). it has the info that disappeared off this page. Zukogirl6 13:00, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
Not to be overly forward but...
Hello. I am an avid fan of Warriors, and find this page in sorry, sorry condition. Can I please have a list of the major contributors to Warriors novels so that we might begin collaboration for this page? First off, the clean-up and formal tone tags must be addressed. The book descriptions are basically ripped from the book's inside covers, and must be reworded. Also, if someone might upload images of the covers, that would be excellent. Thank you. DoomsDay349 23:50, 18 October 2006 (UTC)
Thank you for adressing that problem. I edit this page a lot, so you can add me to the list.
Thanks --Res2216firestar 20:34, 19 October 2006 (UTC)
I suppose you could add me also. I edit this page often as well, and I do agree that the article could be much better. The article is extremely better than that horrendous state it was in after we "started anew" with it, but it does need improving. I just can't think of how to clean it up properly, etc, etc. Wikipedia's rather vague sometimes...
Oh, and somehow, this, along with a few other sections, were deleted... I restored this one. TakaraLioness 19:52, 20 October 2006 (UTC)
- Basically, the book summaries sound like they were ripped from the inside jackets. They need to be more formal. I'll try to get to it. DoomsDay349 01:40, 24 October 2006 (UTC)
- You're right. I'll try to work on it also, but I can't really make promises. I'm rather busy...
- TakaraLioness 23:03, 24 October 2006 (UTC)
- I plan to begin as soon as I finish Twilight. DoomsDay349 23:51, 24 October 2006 (UTC)
- OK, I have finished Twilight and plan to begin work. Firstly, we have to resolve the formal tone issue. The problem with that is the fact that this page has book summaries that sound like they were ripped from the jacket or a fan-site. As for clean-up, we'll want to consider splitting this page and adding more here. What we need is a History and Influence section (which we can hopefully dig up from chats, etc.) a short main storyline, a section on the movie rumor, and links to the other Warriors-related Wikipedia articles. Then, external links. The ones we have there are alright now. As for clan organization and terms, I suggest an article on Clan (Warriors), which would include those and summaries of the four clans. We may also have enough material for a ThunderClan article, but not the other three Clans. The article on Warriors characters is decent, but could be better. The articles on Firestar and Graytstripe need expansion. The list of NP chars is same as the other list. What we need are aritcles on the other major cats; Bluestar, Tigerstar, Tallstar, Brambleclaw, Cinderpelt, Leafpool, Squirrelflight, Stormfur, Feathertail (Warriors), Crowfeather, Hawkfrost, Mudclaw, Sandstorm (Warriors), Dustpelt, and possibly others. Like I said, a ThunderClan article would also be useful, where we could include a list of cats not important enough for a whole article, such as Rainwhisker, for instance. Now then, the list of novels here should be moved to List of Warriors novels, made to meet formal tone, set in cite book format, and given a short summary. That sums my plans for now. - For character pages, maybe we should decide on a standard format, or see about an Infobox or something like that... That way we could create some consistancy between the various parts of the greater artical...
- Kitsufox 20:32, 28 November 2006 (UTC)
DoomsDay349 01:13, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
In addition, I think I will start a Category:Warriors, although we can't call it that because there almost certainly is one...perhaps Category:Warriors (books series)? Dunno. DoomsDay349 01:15, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
- OK, I've done some work. Firstly, the new Category:Warriors (novel series) has been created. It only has four articles as of yet but hopefully this will be expanded as we add articles on novels and characters. Secondly, the two lists of Warriors characters and Warriors: The New Prophecy characters have been merged and moved to List of Warriors characters. Graystripe (book series) has been moved to Graystripe. There's not much more I can do until I check out the Warriors book from the library, aside from re-write the section on Twilight, as I've still got it. Then, I plan to rewrite Midnight, Moonrise, and Starlight which I own. I'll do the rest when I get them out of the library. DoomsDay349 22:52, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
Erin Hunter
Who is under the pen name Erin Hunter? Sr13 18:26, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
- Please note that this talk page is not for discussion of the general topic. There is likely a forum to ask this question. However, to answer, I believe it is Kate Cary and Cherith Baldry, both under the pen name so that the library cataloging system will have an easier time of it. Please take further questions elsewhere. DoomsDay349 18:51, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
Another article?
I was the one that had put in the problem with Sorreltail's apprenticeship a few days ago since it doesn't need to be in the Book Series article how about one called Warriors Inconsistencies or something. That problem could go there as well as anything that anyone else has noticed. Now I personally like the series a lot but for the Warriors articles to be their best, I feel we should the inconsistencies like some other articles have Critisms. After all nothing is perfect and Wikipedia is supposed to be neutral. What does everyone think? Turtlepaw
- I don't think that could get its own article... What about just a section of it on this page or something like that?
- TakaraLioness 03:14, 21 November 2006 (UTC)
- That could work... where on the page? Turtlepaw
- Trust me, that'll be deleted as fancruft. Don't bother. DoomsDay349 18:48, 26 November 2006 (UTC)
- Well gee, Doomsday, aren't you the cheery one? I don't think Turtlepaw meant anything. Spottedstripe 23:55, 17 April 2007 (UTC)
Incorrect Informaton Corrected
I've corrected a section that claims that the Warriors Series has Outsold Harry Potter books. I've included links to refrences and explained where the misconception that most Warriors fans have taken up as thier War-cry in the 'WARRIORS MOVIE' crusade.
I simply am noting in here so that more people than I fully aware of the truth of the situation.

Archived Links List Talk
In light of the level of final that in place for the links list discussion, I've archived it. However livly the discussion was, it was a waste of space, as the rules clearly state it's against them. Thusly, we're done discussing it. Those of us working on the Warriors Page have more important matters on our hands, such as getting our artical perfected.
I've added book covers this morning, also.

Rising Storm Book Cover
The Cover in the article isn't the only one. Canadien stores have a entirly diffrent one. It should be added. (Idon't now how) Google Erin Hunter Rising Storm and you'll see. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 69.156.28.69 (talk) 20:34, 7 December 2006 (UTC).
- Rising Storm's cover varies depending on the version. The paperback's version has Fireheart and Sandstorm, while the hardcover (the one displayed on the page) has Firestar and Cloudpaw.
- TakaraLioness 21:34, 8 December 2006 (UTC)

Cleanup Coming
Soon, I'm planning on grabbing the first series of novels, 2-6, and New Prophecy number 3 as well as 1, 2, and 5 which I own. I'm going to glance at all of them and draft them down on paper by myself and translate them here. Hopefully, this can occur sometime in the next month, while I'm still on break but after Christmas. Just so everyone knows. In the meantime, I'll be performing regular maintenance. DoomsDay349 01:47, 23 December 2006 (UTC)

Is it just me, or is the bottom of the page messed up? ~17 January 2007~

To-do list for cleanup
For general reference, here is a list of things we need to do: Pretty much the whole first series needs cleanup and the second series needs some work. We might check for some minor typos just to be safe. After that we should be able to remove the cleanup tags!--Res2216firestar 21:04, 25 January 2007 (UTC)
Ok, I have a list of what needs cleanup: Fire and Ice, Forest of Secrets, Rising Storm , A Dangerous Path, Dawn, Starlight, and Twilight need cleanup, I just finished The Darkest Hour and seeing the list I think we'll be done with the cleanup very soon!--Res2216firestar 21:47, 25 January 2007 (UTC)

I can start the character articles
Hello I'm a new user of Wikapedia and can start the character bio's almost immediatly if you want if you give me the go ahead I can become a regular for the Warriors. Only I can't do any articles for the first series character's Dustpelt,Sandstorm etc. because er, I loaned them out and am not sure when I can get them back. Your welcome I've added entries for Blackstar and Russetfur on the character page if they stay please add on any apprentices they may of had. And any changes you could make I messed up the titles a bit. Griffenflash 20:09, 16 February 2007 (UTC)

Question About The Herb List
It sounds like it will get much longer after Secrets Of The Clans is released if it gets too long what do we do with it? Griffenflash 21:58, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
- Hm... Good question. Well, I suppose if it gets too long, we could make it into its own article, but we'd need to add more detail to it. I think that's possible though.
- TakaraLioness 00:22, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
Maybe any other facts about Warriors that don't reallly fit into the current articles too..Griffenflash 01:28, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
- Actually, once Secrets of the Clans comes out, we should make maybe two articles (depending on the amount of info) on the infromation given, or make each subject into it's own page. Just a thought... Sunset7611 02:03, 5 March 2007 (UTC)

Pictures on Character Pages
Hello. I'm a huge warriors fan, but I do believe that pictures are needed on the character pages. Descriptions are there, granted, but pictures would be helpful. Complete Rewrite?
I've noticed that someone put up a--I don't know what to call it--"suggestion" on the article that the article may "need a complete rewrite." Does the article really need a complete rewrite? It's really gotten very, very much better than what it started out as. Sure, it still can use cleanup, but I don't think it needs to be wiped out and started all over again...
Does anyone else have any thoughts on this? TakaraLioness 04:25, 14 April 2007 (UTC)
I think that the article doesn't need a complete rewrite. Its pretty organised as it is and if it is rewritten, more speculation might start cropping up and it will be hard to rewrite the article and delete speculations. It needs cleanup, but not a whole overhaul. -Katie
It does need a few things but not a complete rewrite.-Sandstorm April 19 07

Crowfeather NOT Cinderpelt
On the cover of Twilight it is Crowfeather whether we like it or not. Midnight-Brambleclaw Moonrise-Feathertail Dawn-Squirrelflight Starlight-Leafpool Twilight-Cinderpelt!?! Does anybody see a pattern b-fore Cinderpelt? The cats on the covers are all cats from the journey or leafpool, Whose POV is quite common. Cinderpelt is a whole generation older than these cats and does NOT fit in. I know she died in Twilight but please, can't you see that It's CROWFEATHER?!?! He fits into that group of cats, unlike cinderpelt. I know the cat looks like her too, but STILL, she does not FIT IN! Erin describes him as a quite scrawny cat, with a small, neat head, and that looks like the cover cat. Crowfeather has alot to do with the book too, like when leafpool runs away with him, and fights the urge to see him. So DON't CHANGE IT BACK TO CINDERPELT!?!? .....idiots.....--Oakclaw
Um... I don't disagree with you, but I have some questions about that. What about Hawkfrost on the cover of Sunset? He didn't go on the journey and he isn't one of the MOST important characters in the book. And wasn't the prolouge of Twilight about Cinderpelt? Remember, I am NOT taking sides about Crowfeather or Cinderpelt, but the clues fit both of them. Featherfrost 21:42, 17 April 2007 (UTC)
I have a better idea! Instead of assuming, the next Erin Hunter chat is coming up, and if someone is attending, will they PLEASE ask if the cover of Twilight looks more like Crowfeather or Cinderpelt???? Featherfrost 21:46, 17 April 2007 (UTC)
- Sure... I can do that. The chat's all the way in May, but anyway, the edit wars over that little line in the Twilight section need to stop... I think they have, but, eh, you never know.
- TakaraLioness 21:56, 17 April 2007 (UTC)
I ASSURE you. It IS Crowfeather. To Featherfrost- Hawkfrost is B-claw's brother, and the villan of the series. He does fit in. He is in the same generation of cats as Leafpool, Crowfeather, Feathertail etc. Cinderpelt is way older then them, and you have to admit, she still doesn't fit in. Oh and Erin already answered the question in a previous chat. She agrees with me. I know they are both major characters in the book, but Leafpool RUNS AWAY with Crowfeather. That is a major part of the book. I know what you mean about Cinderpelt having a major role, but still......Think about L-pool and her obsession about him... And when i find it, i will post the link to the chat here.---Oakclaw
I guess it looks more like Crowfeather if you look at it that way... Cinderpelt just has bits of info leading to her as well, but I never said that it wasn't Crowfeather! Still, to just make sure, TakaraLioness, can you still ask about it when it chat comes up? And Oakclaw, if you can post the previous chat, thanks. I think Stormfur and Tawnypelt should have gotten their picture on the cover of a book; they belong in the same generation as well. Well, maybe not Tawnypelt, she wasn't THAT important compared to the others, but Stormfur... he was pretty important in Moonrise along with Feathertail. Featherfrost 21:37, 18 April 2007 (UTC)
Someone keeps changing it back to Cinderpelt. Should I put a lock on the page? Spottedstripe 21:49, 18 April 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, Spottedstripe, please do. I just looked on one one chat and it didn't say anything....guess i'll keep on trying. I SWEAR i saw it somewhere......--Oakclaw
Both Cinderpelt and Crowfeather have big parts in the book...so it could be either but I believe it is Crowfeather. And Brambleclaw has amber eyes in the descriptions but on Midnight he has green eyes...so???-Sandstorm April 19 07
Just wondering... how can you lock a page? If you do, if the chat reveals that it is Cinderpelt instead of Crowfeather, someone will have to unlock it to change it, but I doubt that it might be Cinderpelt now. Featherfrost 23:19, 19 April 2007 (UTC)
- I'm not sure how you can lock a page, but I don't think we'd need to lock it entirely. We could just cut it off from being edited by certain people (like those who aren't using accounts, newer accounts, etc). TakaraLioness 00:04, 20 April 2007 (UTC)
- I like the idea, TakaraLioness, except then I wouldn't be able to edit it. But then again, if I'm holding people back, I don't want to be a problem. Lock it as you wish, and I'll just have to suffer. Spottedstripe 01:43, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, I wouldn't be able to go on either. Do you have to lock it all the way down?

Did you know...
Cat
The cat (or domestic cat, house cat) is a small carnivorous mammal. It is valued by humans for its companionship and its ability to destroy furniture.
The cat is also intelligent, it can be trained to obey simple commands, such as 'attack', and has been known to teach itself to manipulate simple mechanisms as the pulley and lever (see cat intelligence).
Cats are known to strike prey by pouncing from such a perch as a tree branch, someones head or a fence rail —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Razorclaw (talk • contribs) 20:37, 17 April 2007 (UTC).

WHO IS ICEKIT AND FOXKIT?
Under kits for The Sight, someone keeps saying that there's an Icekit and Foxkit. If there are those kits, whoever's doing it, save it until the book comes out! Featherfrost 21:41, 18 April 2007 (UTC)
Even though those are interesting names, I agree, until it's confirmed don't put it on the page. Spottedstripe 21:51, 18 April 2007 (UTC)
- No, it is confirmed that they are kits actually. Read the excerpt for yourselves: http://www.warriorcats.com/update/sight_ex.html. The kits are mentioned by name. With something like that, I don't think you actually have to wait until the book's out to have it up, because anyone can see it. TakaraLioness 00:00, 19 April 2007 (UTC)
Who is their mom? as I have said before I think it is Ferncloud.-Sandstorm April 19 07
- We don't know yet. TakaraLioness 22:41, 20 April 2007 (UTC)
I didn't know an excerpt was up! That was pretty cool. I guess that Icekit and Foxkit should go on there. But on Kate Cary's page, The Guttersnipe, OAQ's, there was a question about would cats name their kits after enemyies(ex. Badgerkit, Foxkit, etc...), and she responded by saying something about will your parents name you Influenza, or something like that. Then why would they later name a cat Foxkit? Featherfrost 23:22, 19 April 2007 (UTC)
- I'd call Kate's response more humorous than serious. I dunno why they named that kit Foxkit, though Kate did write The Sight (I don't know if that's significant to the kit's name or not, but it is a fact). Oh well. I can't say that I dislike the name or anything. I like it actually. TakaraLioness 22:41, 20 April 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah. Maybe they named the kit Foxkit because it was orange and it had white on the tip of its tail. Who knows? We'll know soon enough...and I'm getting really excited about it!! Spottedstripe 01:41, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
This may not be important, but I personally think that Whitepaw and Birchpaw will have Icekit and Foxkit. And on what Kate Cary said, she asked if our mothers would name us Influenza or Stalin. I don't know if she was serious. Mapleleaf, April 21, 2007, 7:31 P.M.
I think Foxkit is a good name as well. So Mapleleaf, you think that Whitepaw's mate is going to be Birchpaw? They might definitely get their warrior names by the beginning of the Sight. I think Whitepaw will get her warrior name already, but sometimes, apprentice training can take longer and Birchpaw started as an apprentice in Twilight, so he might be nearing the end of his training or already finished. Featherfrost
I think Whitepaw and Birchpaw would make a cute couple! :) And Foxkit isn't a bad name at all. The warrior name might become Foxtail. Mapleleaf, April 22, 2007, 9:56 A.M.

Runningnose
Does anyone know what book Runningnose dies in. It doesn't say in any of the books. I've been wondering about this for days.-Sandstorm April 19 07
- I don't think it does say whether he's died or not. We just know that he's an elder. I'm sure Littlecloud would've said if Runningnose had died, or it would've been announced at a Gathering... TakaraLioness 23:46, 19 April 2007 (UTC)
Are Stormfur and Brook still in ThunderClan?
Something doesn't make sense. In The Sight excerpt, it said something about Stormfur and Brook not having ThunderClan scent, but they should have adapted it after living with ThunderClan for about 6 moons. That's a little confusing. Featherfrost 23:24, 19 April 2007 (UTC)
- It was told that from one of the kits' points of views (I can't remember which of them said that line), so maybe it was just what that cat thought... Or maybe Stormfur and Brook went away for a little while or something. Four more days, then we should know. TakaraLioness 23:45, 19 April 2007 (UTC)
- Oh, yeah, I can't wait! I think I'm gonna break down and buy the Power of Three series, because my friend is sick of me borrowing his. But what Featherfrost said...hmm, that's a topic to ponder on. Spottedstripe 23:58, 19 April 2007 (UTC)
I picked out that little moment from the excerpt:
"If only Stormfur and Brook smelled like ThunderClan cats, it would've been easier to detect them!" Lionkit complained.
"We'd never have smelled them whatever their scent," Jaykit pointed out. "The wind was blowing the wrong way."
So, from that, I dunno why the two wouldn't smell like ThunderClan cats... Though, I suppose they could've just given themselves very thorough groomings to wash away scents from their pelts. That would make them not smell like ThunderClan cats. Since the wind wasn't blowing their scent to the kits, maybe Lionkit was just frustrated that he couldn't smell them at all, and just whined that they didn't smell like ThunderClan. Eh. I dunno. That's my thought for now. Stormfur and Brook are both referred to as (their pawsteps' owners are anyway) warriors a little further in the text, so they must've stayed long enough for Brook to be called a warrior... TakaraLioness 00:18, 20 April 2007 (UTC)
In Sunset, Brook and Stormfur hadn't decided whether they'd stay in ThunderClan or not. They might have left and went back to the Tribe and come back, or something like that. Mapleleaf (talk), April 21, 2007, 7:34 P.M.
I dunno, maybe the book will explain more... Did anyone like how Sunset ended with lots of questions? (Like the thing with the Tribe, the traitor, the 3 stars, etc...) I thought that they shouldn't have ended with so many cliffhangers. Featherfrost 00:17, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
There were way too many secrets! I still don't know how I got through waiting for the book to come out. I was practically on the edge of my seat waiting for the Sight.

Secret of the Clans cover
Hi, sorry to bug you guys about covers again, but I think the cat in the center cover could be Firestar (Firepaw), Squirrelflight, Leafpool or Lionpaw. I put that on there not long ago, but someone changed it back and if I put it again, I'm afraid I'll be abusing the article. Can someone please share their thoughts? - That was me. ^^; Sorry. I just wanted to avoid having speculation like that here until we get some more info about it. Maybe we can get the authors' views on the cover in the May chat, but for now... It's pretty ambiguous. There are more ginger/light brown cats with yellow/amber eyes in the forest.
- TakaraLioness 00:17, 20 April 2007 (UTC)
- Oh, OK. I agree that we should ask the authors first. I'm kind of a noob to Wikipedia, so I just wanted to make sure I wasn't picking a fight with other Warrior fans like Razorclaw or Oakclaw. Thank you again, TakaraLioness. You are a true Warrior, and I'm sure people could learn a lot from you!! Spottedstripe 01:37, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
Thank you. ^^ TakaraLioness 00:40, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
Waitaminute...Firestar doesn't have yellow eyes, his are green! That must mean it's a different cat. Spottedstripe 00:20, 2 May 2007 (UTC)

Warriors Wikiquote
Hi, I just wanted to say the other day I clicked on the 'Warriors Wikiquote' link at the bottom of the page and I wanted to say...well...there is no Wikiquote! Is this a project in the works, or was there some confusion...? I know I have a lot of questions, please forgive me, but I think we need to clear this up so it can be deleted if need be. Thank you all so much! Spottedstripe 01:52, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
- After a bit of looking, I found it: http://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/Warriors. But brace yourself, it's horribly disorganized... ^^; I was thinking of working on it one day, but I guess I never got around to it... TakaraLioness 03:06, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
- Once again, you have shown me the answer very simply. I'll start working on it, but once again TakaraLioness, you have enough knowledge to be a Clan leader. Spottedstripe 11:52, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
- OK, I cleaned up the Wikiquote with the existing quotes, but it still needs more work and more quotes, so I left the clean-up tab up on the top of the page. I can't do this on my own, so I need some helpers! Any volunteers? Spottedstripe 19:24, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
Page Changes
Hello! I just want to say that I think that there should be more things changed on this page. What about a section on due dates? Or maybe a seperate page on covers? How about the whole page being seperate, like having the original series by itself, the new prophecy by itself, and so on? I would do it myself, but I really don't know how to do a new page. Could anyone tell me? Mapleleaf (talk), April 21, 2007, 7:39 P.M.
- I don't think the page neeeds to be split up like that exactly. I could see seperate (detailed) pages for each book (the covers could go to their respective books' pages, etc), but since this one is focusing on the series as a whole, it should list all of the books together and such. TakaraLioness 17:18, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
OK, I see some changes have been made since I was gone. Just wanted to comment the page looks much better. It's a good idea, since Mrs. Hunter would probably continue to write many books and the page would grow increasingly looooooong. Anyway, just wanted to tell whoever made the changes good job. Spottedstripe 22:02, 26 April 2007 (UTC)
I'm Confused!
Part of this section was deleted.
Mapleleaf (talk), April 24, 2007, 4:37 P.M.
- Er.. Seriously though, we shouldn't have the questions posted here on Wikipedia. This page is supposed to be for the discussion of the article itself, not the series... Find somewhere else to list all of these, please... TakaraLioness 17:07, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
... Sorry. Any ideas where to put them?
Mapleleaf (talk), April 23, 2007, 4:57 P.M.
- Wel, my main suggestion is Wands and Worlds itself, but another place could be a forum or someplace like that. For example, the Warrior's Wish forums is one of those places. I'm sure a list of questions will be made there at some point. TakaraLioness 21:11, 23 April 2007 (UTC)
OMG!
Please stop Wikipedia is not the place for that I deleted the OMG Whitewing, Birchfall and Goldenflower. Griffenflash 19:31, 24 April 2007 (UTC)
Yeah. I don't have the book yet.
Mapleleaf, April 24, 2007, 4:38 P.M.
Im not lying. We will see who has the last laugh ;)
- The book's officially out, so that stuff can go up. If you don't wanna be spoiled, avoid these articles, because the spoilers are going up and they'll be allowed. TakaraLioness 23:36, 24 April 2007 (UTC)
I didn't mean they were false I just meant not to waste space with piontless OMG posts. I have the book too. Griffenflash 00:01, 25 April 2007 (UTC)
- Ooh, I see. Sorry. ^^; Yeah, I agree with you about not wasting space with those posts. TakaraLioness 01:22, 25 April 2007 (UTC)
I just got the book too. What I meant was that it's okay to put the imformation on the actual article, but not here.

I found two interesting things.
Regards, «razorclaw» 20:50, 27 April 2007 (UTC)
OK, now that we've found the Wikiquote link, we need to have a link on the article. Last time I checked, the link on the aticle was still the 'Special Search' thing where it searched for 'Warriors (book series)'. Speaking of Wikiquote, I will say again, anyone who wants to vounteer to help clean up the page, please don't hesitate-it needs work. Thanks razorclaw. Spottedstripe 21:58, 27 April 2007 (UTC)
Wait a second...
How could Graystripe's last manga be after he returns to ThunderClan? He came back in The Sight so what happens after that is already in The Sight and in the rest of the third series. It wouldn't make sense to have a manga on something already in the books. Griffenflash 21:07, 28 April 2007 (UTC)
You see, the three volumes put together chronicle Graystripe's journey back to Thunderclan. According to the manga, The Sight hasn't been written yet. So yes, it would make sense. Spottedstripe 12:28, 29 April 2007 (UTC)
May 2007 E. Hunter Chat
I was reading throughout the discussion, and people have been mentioning about asking Erin Hunter questions for info to fix the article up. I think we should ask about all of the covers of the books, if she can, and also, we should brainstorm what else we need to know. So any ideas to ask, please post here. I'm not the one asking her, though. Someone else needs to. Sunset7611 04:07, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
- Good idea, but ideas should probably posted over at Wands and Worlds rather than here... I think I remember seeing a board there devoted to questions to ask them during the upcoming chat. I don't have the link to it though.
- TakaraLioness 06:33, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
- Hm...I think since, like, 75% of our questions we ask Mrs. Hunter will go on Wikipedia, we should not only make a list on Wands and Worlds, but also on this section. But good suggestions, both of you. Spottedstripe 12:18, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
The questions probably won't go into the articles... ^^; I'd imagine that their answers will (in their respective places, etc), and we'll just cite the chat as a reference. It's not like we're putting the transcript here. TakaraLioness 20:22, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
You two get to be their?! I really envy you right now. Griffenflash 19:36, 24 April 2007 (UTC)
Don't you have to pay about $5 on that site to be able to chat there? Featherfrost 01:08, 26 April 2007 (UTC)

Clan (warriors) page help?
I know this isn't the right page, but there's been a LOT of vandalism on the clan page, (by someone with a time machine, supposedly) who is posting stuff under current members "as of volume 4" like the apprentices becoming honeystripe, berryfur, mouseheart, and junk like that. Can someone help me here? Crowstar 00:15, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah, I said this exact same thing in the Clan Information talk page. I think that it's all just a bunch of fanwork. This goes for everyone, whatever you see that's been updated past The Sight, delete it; it's not true! The book isn't out ANYWHERE yet! So yeah Crowstar, just get rid of all that information and I'll see to putting some kind of semi-lock on the page after I've requested from an administrator. Spottedstar 01:09, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
- Success! We have semi-protection until June 4th. Is there anything else we need to request for semi-protection? Spottedstar 03:21, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
Berryfur, Mouseheart and Honeystripe? Those are dumb names anyway. I think we have everything in the semi-lock, so we're good to go. Thanks for the help, Spottedstar. (I hope people aren't confused by our names!!) Spottedstripe 13:35, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
- Lol, me neither! And no problem. Spottedstar 15:23, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
Thanks, guys! The Clan chat page isn't used very often, so I posted it here. Crowstar 23:40, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
Speaking of Clan chat page, can someone put up a link to it? I can't find it anywhere, and I think a lot of my topics got put on it. Thanks. Spottedstripe 16:38, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
Change in The Rising Storm Article
Alright, I made a minor change in The Rising Storm article: The cover is Sandstorm and Fireheart follwing the two sick ShadowClan cats Littlecloud and Whitethroat when they go through the tunnel under the road. It would not be Tigerstar stalking Fireheart because Sandstorm was with Fireheart. Besides, the cat behind Fireheart probably wasn't two feet behind him. If that was Tigerstar stalking Fireheart, he wasn't doing a good job, was he? Another thing - Tigerstar is dark brown, like Brambleclaw on the cover of "Midnight". The cat following Fireheart is a pale ginger cat with dark stripes - obviously Sandstorm. Thanks, Redfur 23:10, 4 May 2007 (UTC)
- Um, I have just one comment about what you changed. I really think that it's Tigerstar who's in the grass, even though what you said was technically right and I agree with it completely. Because the thing is, Erin Hunter doesn't do these herself; it was another company (I'm pretty sure it was Harper Collins or something like that) that are the actual artists and they never really read the book anyways. They just summarize basically what happened in the book in some interesting picture-type thing that turns out to be the cover. But still, what you said was right and technically, it should be Sandstorm that's following Fireheart (even though I don't see WHY she should when he knew she was with him the whole time), but yeah. I won't change anything, I just wanted to say that! :) Spottedstar 22:43, 6 May 2007 (UTC)
I thought it was Longtail because he was a pale tabby and he had a nick in his ear. -Mapleleaf, May 6, 2007, 6:52 P.M.
- Hmmm, well, it DOES look a little like Longtail, but he really has no reason of being there, so... Spottedstar 23:06, 6 May 2007 (UTC)
Fireheart *knows* Sandstorm is there. She's follwing him, not stalking him. ~Signed Redfur who is not logged in May 7, 2007
- Well, then why is she crouched down in the grass? She really does look like she's stalking something! And there's a point with what Mapleleaf is saying. There's no nick in Tigerstar's ear, but neither is there one on Sandstorm's! Ugh, I'm too confused. I'm really hoping now that someone just asked the authors who it was on the chat last night... Spottedstar 20:03, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
Don't know how my last post got here, movin' up! Nyctra May 14, 2007
- Longtail's a pale tom, not a dark brown one. The cat is clearly Tigerstar stalking Fireheart in the back cover. Tigerstar has a deep V-shaped tear in his ear, it isn't a nick. But anyway, why not just describe the cats in the picture, rather than having to name them? That would take away a lot of the argument, I think. TakaraLioness 00:28, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
- Hear hear! I think that would be the best way to settle this. Thanks, TakaraLioness. Spottedstar 03:28, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
That's a great idea as: 1) it solves the Crowfeather/Cinderpelt war, 2) and ends false editing on the covers. I'm 100% for it! Crowstar 20:41, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
The cat is Sandstorm. She and Fireheart were keeping low in the grass to avoid being spotted by the two ShadowClan cats (which are located on the back cover of the hardcover edition). Its obviously the scne where Sandstorm & Fireheart are following the ShadowClan cats to the Thunderpath. If Tigerstar had been anywhere near Fireheart during this scene, he probably would have attacked him. It's Sandstorm on the cover. Not Tigerstar. 66.61.47.152 21:05, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
68.210.66.224 01:06, 31 May 2007 (UTC) Lakestorm 68.210.66.224 01:06, 31 May 2007 (UTC) But if Sandstorm and Fireheart were trying to avoid being seen, then why does it look like Whitethroat and Littlecloud are waitiong for them?
I thought it said somewhere that Tigerclaw did have a nick in his ear...
~Lakestorm
If that is Tigerstar/claw, then where is Sandstorm? And about the Shadowclan cats appearing to wait for them, not all covers are perfect. Just look at the Twilight cover, for example. What are supposed to be badgers on the bottom of the page look like furry blobs with eyes and arms.
Whoever put that blobby note, thanks. It brightened my day. Tigerclaw14 18:46, 6 June 2007 (UTC)Tigerclaw14
Fourth Series
I don't see any point in putting in the Fourth Series till we know what it is called, (Warriors;New Prophecy Warriors; Power of Three Warriors). Because it is annoying to just put "Nothing is known about this book, we have just confirmed that it exists." Badgerstripe 00:02, 13 May 2007 (UTC)

Rising Storm Cover
Okay, seeing as how no one can seem to decide whether it is Sandstorm or Tigerstar (though I firmly believe it is Sandstorm), I think all this 'drama' with the cover is annoying. Everytime I check out the article, there is something different. So I think we should just say "Fireheart and an unknown cat following two ShadowClan cats on ThunderClan territory". Redfur 02:13, 4 June 2007 (UTC)
I agree with you. I did the same thing on the Into the Wild cover. Crowstar 19:58, 4 June 2007 (UTC)
OK, thank you. I support the change also. (Take that, unregistered users who think they know it all!!) Spottedstripe 21:01, 4 June 2007 (UTC)
"An unknown cat, though most likely Cinderpelt or Crowfeather"
I made that change for the center cover of "Twilight" Redfur 02:43, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
- Do you all understand sourcing at all? It is not enough to say "most likely" or "supposedly" for these covers. You have to give reliable sources that say that. Otherwise it is original research. Metros 02:48, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
Well, come up with a source and we'd be happy to put it in the edit...can't find one, huh? Exactly. I mean, c'mon, it's just GOT to be Cinderpelt or Crowfeather. Just saying, you shouldn't mouth off to ther people, Metros. Sorry if that sounded mean or hurtful, but I'm just trying to make a point. Spottedstripe 16:37, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
- It doesn't have to be anyone. It could be just a generic cat. And it's not my job to find a source, it's the duty of the person adding the information. Metros 16:39, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
Well, if you don't like it so much, you can delete it. You can edit it too, you know. Anyone can edit, and it really helps that you're a registered user. Spottedstripe 16:42, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
- And I did edit it before it was added back by someone else. I posted this here just to get you kids to understand that the edits you make without sources are inappropriate and speculative. And seriously, you need to stop with this belief that the only people deserving of the ability to edit or deserving to have their edits respected are those who are registered editors. There are many IP users who made great contributions to Wikipedia. Metros 16:45, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, but there are also a lot of people who don't know squat about Warriors and don't have enough common sense to make a user account. I'm not saying any names, by the way. Anyway, they edit the article because they think they know everything, and before you know it, the whole article is messed up. I speak on behalf of the whole "Wiki Clan", you can't blame us for being paranoid about unregistered users. By the way, what on earth do you mean by "kids"? Spottedstripe 20:13, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
Yeah that's true, what did you mean Metros by 'kids'? I understand everyone's fear of unregistered users so I don't edit that much and I respect those stereotypes because they are often true. I know people who go on Wikipedia and delete entire articles for fun. I do not respect that you automatically think people who devote themselves to Warriors are kids. How old are you? Wait don't answer that, I don't wanna know. Meanwhile... I don't see the problem with saying 'most likely'. Here's an idea for a source, what about descriptions of the cats from the books? That would allow you to say who you think it is with some proof. But Metros, why don't you leave the warriors article to the kids. We seem to know a heck of a lot more about it then you! ~Rainpaw
- No, because that would be original research to say "well, there's a gray cat on the cover and well, that cat's described as gray, so, it's most likely him." You need a reliable source that states the definite story of the cover, not just the "most likely" story. Metros 18:54, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
I understand your point, and I respect your opinion. Thing is, we're kinda getting off the subject of the disscussion. Let's just say "Fireheart and some unknown cat following him". That way, evreyone is happy. Agreed? Spottedstripe 21:06, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
- How do you know it's Fireheart? Metros 21:07, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
(Slams head on desk) I know that you're trying to delete original research, and I respect that, but who else could it be? Crowstar 00:00, 7 June 2007 (UTC)
- A generic cat. Also, why are these even necessary? Why do we need to write the description of the cover if that cover is there for everyone to see on the page? Can't the reader just draw his or her own conclusions from looking at the picture? Metros 00:01, 7 June 2007 (UTC)
ARRRRRRRRRGGGGHHHH!!! Listen, if you don't like it, then leave the article! My gosh, it's soooo annoying when someone tries to come in here and change everything! We put which cat is on the cover for the sake of the people who want to know. If you don't care, simply do one thing-ignore it. Spottedstripe 12:57, 7 June 2007 (UTC)
- Of course you can...if you have a valid source saying that's what it is. Metros 13:02, 7 June 2007 (UTC)
- Seriously, there are too many discrepancies with these covers where you claim that their truths but there's little caveats to them. Such as this version of The Darkest Hour article. Oh it's definitely such and such a cat, although...that cat has green eyes, hmm...but it's definitely him because, well, we think it is. And there are a few cats in the shadows but we know it's those four cats because, well, we think it is. Metros 13:15, 7 June 2007 (UTC)
-laughs- Wow, we are so thick headed! -sarcastic- Of course the cat on the central cover of Darkest Hour isn't Fireheart! I mean, didn't every cat in the forest look in the water and see a reflection of a lion staring back at them?! Honestly, if you would just use an ounce of common sense....-shakes head- Redfur 19:29, 7 June 2007 (UTC)
Stubborn...OK, listen. Just drop the whole thing, all we're doing now is arguing. Please, Metros, stop. Spottedstripe 13:28, 7 June 2007 (UTC)
- I'm with Spottedstripe. All of you arguing people, stop fighting because it's getting you nowhere and it's defacing the talk page... And I swear I suggested somewhere on this page that we could just write the descriptions of the cats in the covers (for example, a ginger cat being followed by a brown tabby with a torn ear), rather than having to add names to them... At least that could get rid of this controversy... TakaraLioness 21:21, 7 June 2007 (UTC)
Metros they're just putting up the cover descriptions for those who haven't read the book, mostly it's kids who look at the Warriors section and they won't care if the informationisn't backed up by references. It's no skin off your nose. ~( 3:25 PM Mintleaf June 2007)
- It doesn't matter. This is Wikipedia, it needs sources to back up its info... That's why original research and speculation isn't allowed in the articles. TakaraLioness 01:03, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
THANK YOU SO MUCH!! Spottedstripe 01:20, 9 June 2007 (UTC)
By the way, TakaraLioness, I think that your idea for just the cat descriptions is a pretty good idea. I really think we should go through with that. In fact, I'll start right now!! Regards, Spottedstripe 13:19, 9 June 2007 (UTC)

Check on sfbookcase.com. Also, i saw Vicky on her tour, and she comfirms it was called The Traitor. But she refused to give away any more info.....that sucks. Check sfbookcasse for summary of book. - Well, actually, I agree with you. I remember it saying somewhere that it was originally called "The Traitor" until one day I went back there and it's been changed to "The Dark Forest". It was probably here on this site, I dunno, but yeah, I believe you. The title of the 4th book should be "The Traitor". Spottedstar 23:11, 6 May 2007 (UTC)
Here, let's just wait until the Saturday chat, get the title from Vicky, and then re-edit the article then. That way, we'd have some better proof, since there would be a transcript to refer to, not just someone's memory. TakaraLioness 14:10, 10 May 2007 (UTC)
- Okay, thanks Takara! Spottedstar 19:43, 13 May 2007 (UTC)

WHAT HAPPENED TO THE MISTAKE SECTION???
That mistake section was very useful, but now I can't find it and I have a mistake. Oh well, I 'll tell the mistake anyway. From Starlight (American hardback)--"'What are horses?' Whitepaw mewed worriedly as she peered through the fence. 'Nothing to worry about,' Tornear from WindClan reassured her, touching the apprentice's shoulder with teh tip of his tail. 'They used to run across our territory sometimes with Twolegs on their backs. WhiteTAIL blinked as if she couldn't quite believe him."68.110.232.148 09:33, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
- The mistakes section was deleted. See Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of mistakes in Warriors (Book Series). Metros 12:21, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
Who is deleting all the good information?! 68.36.70.102 13:42, 8 June 2007 (UTC)Tigerclaw14
- Well I wouldn't exactly call it good information, but Mailer diablo (talk · contribs · blocks · protections · deletions · page moves · rights · RfA) was the one who deleted the List of Mistakes article after the articles for deletion debate where about a dozen editors agreed that this page was not appropriate by Wikipedia policies and guidelines. So while Mailer diablo was the one who actually deleted it, there were many people who called for its deletion and he merely carried it out based on policy and consensus. Metros 13:57, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, I looked at the debate as well. I actually thought it was pointless to have a list of mistakes just sitting there, though. Go to http://warriorswish.net I think they have a list of mistakes there. Redfur 22:53, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
Oh, gee, Metros, you wouldn't call it good information...what would you call it? Seriously, dude, I'm starting to wonder if you like Warriors at ALL! Spottedstripe 13:11, 9 June 2007 (UTC)
- It doesn't matter if I like Warriors or not. There is no rule that says "only fans may edit this page." And, no, I wouldn't call it good information because it was original research and inappropriate trivia which is why I nominated it for deletion and about a dozen other editors believed the same thing. Metros 20:33, 9 June 2007 (UTC)
I never accused you of being a fan, it just kinda naturally occured to me that maybe if people didn't like to book series, they wouldn't edit the article. And, tell me if I'm wrong, but I don't think the authors themselves would go and search for all their mistakes, so of COURSE it's gonna be original research. But y'know, a lot of other aticles have little trivia/mistake sections. Check out Kappa Mikey, Sonic the Hedgehog (especially!) and Pokemon if you don't believe me. False Information
Okay, who's the one that's posting up all the false info in the "Clans" section of the Warriors article? "Eaglestar", "Emberstar", "RAINBOWSTAR"??? Who are these leaders?! If these leaders really do exist, then what's your source of information? There's NOTHING in the Warriors books that mentions any of this! (takes a deep breath) Okay, sorry, someone please speak up... Spottedstar 23:22, 6 May 2007 (UTC)
- Bear in mind, I didn't do that, but that's REALLY funny!! *laughs* OK, I'll clean out the false info if you like. Spottedstripe 23:43, 6 May 2007 (UTC)
- Lol, thanks! Whoever put that down must really think they know this stuff when clearly they don't. And they did the same thing about a month ago and they said such like "Don't edit this! I know these things!" and I'm like, "Yeah, right..." because seriously! There is NOTHING in the Warriors series that could've led to that! But yeah, thanks! :) Spottedstar 23:50, 6 May 2007 (UTC)
I know... probably the same person behind Tailtip. Probably some unregistered person trying to look cool. It was kinda funny though. "PLEASE DON'T EDIT! I KNOW THIS STUFF!" Crowstar 14:32, 12 May 2007 (UTC)
What are you saying Crowstar? That I shouldn't add to the articles at all because you SUPPOSEDLY know more about Warriors than I do? Really Crowstar watch what you say. Badgerstripe 23:57, 12 May 2007 (UTC)
- Whoa, whoa, wait a minute. Crowstar, are you saying that Badgerstripe is the one that's putting this up? I'm confused, someone explain to me. Spottedstar 05:01, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
No, I'm not. Sorry if I hurt your feelings. Crowstar 11:57, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
- Okay, whew! I don't wanna cause any fights here, so I was just checking. Spottedstar 20:04, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
I have a copy of Secrets of the Clans, and I was able to prove both Tailtip and the rumored leaders didn't exist in Warriors. The former leaders of ThunderClan (before Bluestar) are Thunderstar, Owlstar, and Sunstar (and not Eaglestar, Emberstar, and Rainbowstar). I didn't see Tailtip mentioned anywhere while I was reading Secrets of the Clans, so Crowstar, you're right. Tailtip isn't real. As a side note, although I did make the mistake of putting Tailtip on Wikipedia, I did not add Eaglestar, Emberstar and Rainbowstar. Someone else did. I was also not the first person to put Tailtip on Wikipedia. Someone else put her on Wikipedia before I did, and I made the mistake of believing it. I hope I helped solve this problem. You know, Guest, you seem to know a lot about Warriors, and you seem to be a really big fan. I think you should get a Wiki username so you can help with other sections of the article. But you're under no obligation, so just think about it. (Gee, I sound like a commercial! "Wait, that's not all! Get a username now and you'll also get...") Spottedstripe 01:36, 4 June 2007 (UTC)
I agree. I'm always here for help! Crowstar 21:11, 4 June 2007 (UTC)
Hee, I know you are. You're a really great editer. It's good to be able to rely on you to fix up some stuff in the article. Spottedstripe 16:40, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
I haven't always been a good editor. I made a mistake with Thistleclaw, I said he was Tigerstar's father. I also made that mistake with Tailtip the last few times it was posted (I wasn't the only one posting Tailtip, I saw it on Wikipedia before). Now I am a fine editor. However, other people might be believing Tailtip was Thistleclaw's mate, even though I stopped putting her on Wikipedia, so she might reappear because of someone else. Guest 19:25, 11 June 2007
Well, that's OK. Everyone makes mistakes. I'm glad, and I'm sure the others are too, that you gave yourself up. But don't let it get to you; I've made tons of mistakes, but they've help me become a better editer. Just think of it that way. Regards, Spottedstripe 12:16, 13 June 2007 (UTC)
