LiveStream was not the first to broadcast live over the Internet a birth. I believe OR-Live, Inc., now BroadcastMed, was the first to broadcast live a birth - at Hartford Hospital in Hartford, CT, September 23, 2006. I was the producer of that event. In fact, the producer of the first two live births on the Internet, the second broadcast live from a South Florida hospital. Here's a partial of the press release announcing the Webcast: Cesarean Childbirth From Hartford Hospital slp3D / OR-Live 55 min 52 sec - Jun 23, 2006 Birth by Cesarean Section may occur for a variety of reasons, including a large baby, placenta previa, prior Cesarean Section or a breech presentation. The process of childbirth remains an amazing miracle when accomplished through this surgical procedure. Watch Hartford Hospital physicians bring a new life into the world in this live webcast first seen on September 23 rd at 12:00 p.m.
Technology
How about a little of the technology involved? For instance, what format does the company use for its files? What about transport methodology? Thanks - KitchM (talk) 01:53, 11 July 2013 (UTC)
New LiveStream and LiveStream Classic
IMO the article could use some details on New LiveStream what's going on with LiveStream Classic. Have they announced any plans for LiveStream Classic? Are they planning to eventually phase it out or merge it into "New LiveStream"? Are they planning to continue supporting LiveStream Classic for the foreseeable future? -- Gordon Ecker, WikiSloth (talk) 03:01, 6 August 2013 (UTC)
Blacklisted Links Found on the Main Page
Cyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request it's removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.
