VicksburgVicksburg (disambiguation)
Vicksburgprimary redirect to Vicksburg, Mississippi – The city in Mississippi is clearly the primary topic because of the pageview statistics and the historical significance. The second most viewed place called "Vicksburg" is a city in Michigan of which the MS city gets on average more than 25x more daily views than, and the rest are unincorporated communities. • Support. The Mississippi city is also historically significant for its role in the Civil War. That may contribute to the dominance in page views, but would count for primacy whether it did or did not. bd2412 T 02:42, 20 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose. "Vicksburg" can be shorthand reference to the siege of Vicksburg our for the overall campaign. The siege article gets more page views than the city and the campaign about half as much. [1] I think disambiguation works best in this case. olderwiser 10:59, 20 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • kennethaw88 Huh? [2] The civil war era page views far outstrip the city, and the articles about the civil war conflict most certainly are not about the city. olderwiser.
