The Fansite

[edit]

The fansite that was reposted does not have English as one of its languages and provides almost nothing to the article. I would say remove it but I want some discussion. Philip Gronowski Contribs 20:32, 6 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I take your point and you are welcome to revert my edit (and continue reverting it) There is however some relevant content on the site (once you get past the welcome pages). I do not see that it detracts from the article. -- zzuuzz (talk) 20:37, 6 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Nah we can't edit war, I'll try to find some points supporting my veiw while you find some of your own. Yours, Philip Gronowski Contribs 20:44, 6 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It wasn't me I was referring to. -- zzuuzz (talk) 20:47, 6 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Woops. Sorry about that. Well I found something for my view, under Wikipedia:External links:

English language links are strongly preferred in the English-language Wikipedia. A link to a non-English page may be appropriate if the page contains visual aids such as maps, diagrams, or tables, or if an official site is unavailable in English...

Philip Gronowski Contribs 20:51, 6 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
zzuuzz notes the guideline says "preferred". Considering the subject is from a Spanish-speaking country it would seem appropriate that a link to more information is in Spanish (and the pictures for example are multi-lingual). We even have little icons to mark it as such (in Spanish).
I'm really not interested in standing here to defend this link - I have as much interest in continually removing it. rgds. -- zzuuzz (talk) 21:07, 6 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sources added

[edit]

I have added two sources that came directly from the Univision website. The first is her artist page from EsMas which is a Spanish language entertainment content producer. The second site will require a little review but seems to support the majority of her career. Like any other source, conflicts will be found. I have found in my short career here, that if you have a controversial edit to discuss it here with a good citeable source. If no source is available, it should not go into the article unless consensus is reached by frequent contributors with a proven history of edits. Since this artist, like many other Latin American stars, is the subject of much speculation and what we call chismes or "small quickies" which can be humorous or scandalous but are often half-truths. Fair use rationale for Image:Veronica castro big brother.PNG

[edit]

Image:Veronica castro big brother.PNG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

To someone who is constantly adding her mailing address into the article.

Fawning adoration

[edit]

Phrases such as "Verónica is sensational" shouldn't be in a Wikipedia page. Specially one so thinly sourced. Will try to weed out subjective references. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Emilitog (talkcontribs) 20:20, 31 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
