Abbots in retreat
[edit]The article correctly reads, "During this time Buddhist monks remain in a single place, generally in their temples." If, however, you visit a Thailand Theravada wat or monastery during Vassa, generally you'll NOT find the abbot or head monk {TH: เจ้าอาวาส or เจ้าวัด} as he is taking his Rains Retreat at some other monastery where he is more junior. This is particularly true if he has made significant improvements at his own wat the previous year. I cannot add this to the main article as I have neither published references nor knowledge of how wide-spread is the practice. Can anyone help? Pawyilee (talk) 11:40, 5 May 2008 (UTC)
Khmer-script
[edit]Seems a little bit big.--115.178.26.170 (talk) 15:25, 10 May 2015 (UTC)
- You're probably using a Windows OS. Windows doesn't handle Khmer fonts well. The default font for Khmer displays so small as to be almost unreadable. The best solution is to download free Khmer fonts from the internet, then go into Windows and change the default Khmer font to one of those.--William Thweatt TalkContribs 20:36, 10 May 2015 (UTC)
