Massacre
[edit]I added a comparison re numbers of victims, had the same percentage of the population been victim of such an attack in the US, thinking it may be an interesting number to see for people from larger countries than Norway - showing a little of the actual magnitude this horrific incidence has on the people of Norway. I am adding a note about it also here, in case more experienced Wikipedians should think that adding such a calculation isn't OK for a Wikipedia article.
I hope that others will be able to expand and give the article the needed depth as time goes. It is a horrible and very, very sad weekend here in Norway!!! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Peapeam (talk • contribs) 02:38, 23 July 2011 (UTC)
Pronunciation
[edit]A pronunciation guide of the name would be greatly appreciated. Springhill40 (talk) 03:57, 23 July 2011 (UTC)
- Great to see that IPA and a recording have since been added. Credulity (talk) 09:59, 30 July 2012 (UTC)
Update requested
[edit]What has become of the island since the massacre? Do ferries still go there? Will the youth camp ever be held there again? Is there some kind of memorial on the island, what form does it take, and is it a temporary one pending something more permanent? The article presently states that some buildings would be demolished (although unfortunately no source is given). Has this happened? Credulity (talk) 09:59, 30 July 2012 (UTC)
- Hi, I agree that an update here was due and I have added a paragraph on what has taken place over the last year. Sjakkalle (Check!) 16:39, 30 July 2012 (UTC)
- Tusen takk for your prompt update, Sjakkalle! Very informative. Credulity (talk) 18:35, 30 July 2012 (UTC)
