Name of the symbol
[edit]Do we have a reliable source for the name 'falsum' for this symbol? Unicode has several characters that look like this, namely the Up tack (U+22A5 ⊥), Perpendicular symbol (27C2 ⟂), and Large up tack (27D8 ⟘).
I suspect that the name 'falsum' is a name for the meaning in logic (after all, it means 'false' in Latin), not for the symbol itself.
I propose to move this page to up tack. macrakis (talk) 14:24, 12 April 2010 (UTC)
- Yes, indeed. Falsum is the name of the logical nullary connective/truth constant, not of the symbol itself.—Emil J. 18:50, 13 September 2010 (UTC)
Use on this page
[edit]Some of the usages of it on this page are broken. (FYI if needed: I'm running standard Firefox 4.0 on Win7 Professional) Ikiwi (talk) 12:00, 11 May 2011 (UTC)
