Undiscussed removal of The University of California, 1868-1968 by Stadtman
[edit]Can the editor(s) who want to remove The University of California, 1868-1968 by Verne A. Stadtman please share their objections to this source? It's published by a reliable publisher so I'm not sure why you are objecting to it. ElKevbo (talk) 23:40, 22 May 2024 (UTC)

- I concur with ElKevbo. There is no reason to remove this source when the publisher is clearly reliable (McGrawHill) and the source remains available and readily accessible. --Coolcaesar (talk) 17:18, 15 September 2024 (UTC)
where are the controversies?
[edit]the protests to get the US bank off the student ID cards, to keep the domes and the tri-coops on campus, and so many more? 173.222.1.163 (talk) 04:04, 10 September 2024 (UTC)

University of California, Davis → UC Davis – WP:COMMONNAME. Theparties (talk) 11:15, 22 December 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose. The full name provides a WP:TITLECON consistent naming convention across all articles on universities and colleges in the United States. Many reliable sources like Forbes and US News and World Report still use the full name. The OP has also made numerous individual RMs on this same issue like this one, which may violate WP:ACROTITLE or use a shorter common name that is rarely used outside a sports/athletic context. Better to stick to the status quo. Zzyzx11 (talk) 14:55, 22 December 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose as unnecessary, unwise, and confusing for readers. ElKevbo (talk) 15:09, 22 December 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose, per the comments of Zzyzx11. —Eyer (he/him) If you reply, add

to your message. 16:25, 22 December 2024 (UTC) - Oppose for the reasons articulated above. --Coolcaesar (talk) 18:42, 22 December 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose per WP:TITLEFORMAT#Avoid ambiguous abbreviations, WP:ACROTITLE, and what Zzyzx11 and ElKevbo said. The proposed title is not sufficiently explanatory to people unfamiliar with the university. – Epicgenius (talk) 22:40, 23 December 2024 (UTC)
