Article name
[edit]Shouldn't this article be at U.S. Amateur Championship (golf) or some such? There is at least one other "U.S. Amateur Championship": U.S. Amateur Championship (billiards), see [1]. They even seem to have registered the term "U.S. Amateur Championship" as a registered trademark... Lupo 12:54, August 29, 2005 (UTC)
Steve Melnyk link is wrong
[edit]It leads to a Manitoba politician, not the golfer.
Second course
[edit]Nowhere in the article is it mentioned that the stroke-play part of the tournament is played over two courses. This ought to be mentioned; I'm not sure whether the auxiliary courses should be listed in the table. pʰeːnuːmuː → pʰiːnyːmyː → ɸinimi → fiɲimi 21:32, 16 August 2017 (UTC)

United States Amateur Championship (golf) → U.S. Amateur – Common name. Already redirects to this article, so the (golf) disambiguation shouldn't be necessary. pʰeːnuːmuː → pʰiːnyːmyː → ɸinimi → fiɲimi 20:35, 15 June 2024 (UTC)

- Support: Current title is way too long. Opening sentence should be maintained, however, with full name of the event.
