[edit]there's a big difference between the Pleven plan and the ECD approved in May 1952. Please correct everything. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Andre.bo (talk • contribs) 20:10, 22 May 2011 (UTC)
Is it Pleven plan or Pleven Plan? The article isn't consistent. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.81.97.155 (talk) 08:11, 8 June 2020 (UTC)
Problems with the article
[edit]All the information written in the article aren't supported by citations of the sources. Therefore it is necessary to review the article, correcting the information when it's necessary and adding the right citations.
The structure of the article is sometimes unclear and the information provided are hurried. In particular, the last section "European Organization with Similar Tasks" can be misleading, because it talks about many different things without properly explaining them. For example, it defines the European Political Cooperation as the "European Foreign Policy", but this is not correct because it was rather an agreement between the European Community member states to exchange information about foreign policy matters.
The article lacks different information that could help the reader understand the creation of this project and its potential relevance in the process of European integration. In particular, it is not explained how the Pleven Plan became the EDC Treaty. In my opinion, other important information that the article is missing are the folliwing: the external factors that led to the creation of the Pleven Plan, like the United States influence and the cold war background; the Acheson Plan; other reasons why France didn't approve the EDC Treaty, like the fear of losing its political and military leadership and the French defeat in the First Indochina War; the Paris Conference that transformed the Pleven Plan into the EDC Treaty.
