@Dissident93: I'm sympathetic to WP:TECHNICAL concerns in regards to the 'Playstyle' section but I do not thing we can do it justice if we assume that the reader is completely unfamiliar with basic concepts of MOBA style games. Just as Neymar#Player_profile assumes that one understand the basic objectives of football (two teams trying to score goals against each other with specific players playing specific roles) I think it is fair to assume that the reader should understand what middle lane in MOBAs is and how conventionally middle lane's responsibility is to win lane, gank and snowball. DOTA is a complex game, far more complex than chess or any conventional sport, and so almost nothing meaningful can be said if we assume that the reader understands zero mechanics. I don't think it'd be appropriate if we were to try to explain mechanics of DOTA in this article when an interested reader should consider reading DOTA2 for the basic mechanics instead. Do you disagree? Melmann22:50, 16 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
The actual problem is that we don't really explain basic MOBA mechanics on it's article; if we did we could simply link it there. However, Dota is a complex game (almost infinitely more than soccer), so writing its mechanics in a style that even the most novice of readers could understand of is still preferred. ~ Dissident93(talk)05:42, 17 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
