Spelling of name

Hi. I've been looking for definitive information as to how this theater spells its name. IBDB is notoriously bad in this regard from what I've seen. They mis-spell, for example, New Victory Theater and Vivian Beaumont Theater. Playbill lists it as Times Square Theater, although whoever used the Playbill cite mis-spelled what Playbill wrote when reflecting the title of the Playbill article. As does Interview with New 42nd Street president ny.theatre and the NY Post and Broadway World and The New York Times and the NY Daily News and Broadway: Its History, People, and Places: An Encyclopedia and AIA Guide to New York City and The encyclopedia of the musical theatre and Encyclopedia of early television crime fighters, and The encyclopedia of popular music for starters. The only source that really matters is the theater's owners, as it's their property to name. As such, the -er spelling is used at the New 42nd Street organization's site, so it should be used throughout. oknazevad (talk) 01:45, 14 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. I agree with the result, but as to how to get there see wp:commonname. Specifically: "Wikipedia does not necessarily use the subject's "official" name as an article title; it prefers to use the name that is most frequently used to refer to the subject in English-language reliable sources."
