The "Time Traveler" video game

[edit]

Note that a thorough page for the "Time Traveler" video game exists here: Time Traveler (video game) - Dpk77 04:04, 30 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I'm thinking of taking this down, there needs to be a link to disambiguation page when you type "time traveler" since it won't get you to the game. —Preceding unsigned comment added by The snare (talkcontribs) 04:15, 8 September 2006
There is already a disambiguation page for Time Traveler. I redirected this page to it. -- Ritchy 14:42, 10 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Doctor Who

[edit]

Is Doctor Who not listed on purpose? I'm confused as it's basically about a time traveler and seems popular enough to not get simply omitted.

Time travelerTime traveler (disambiguation) – Primary topic ought to be time travel. Move this to redirect to that. LCS check (talk) 21:15, 21 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose, unless there is some evidence that readers looking for "time traveler" are looking for information about time travel in general rather than one of the many, many works with the ambiguous title. olderwiser 12:48, 22 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
    • Works are capitalized. Yes, this is a weaker argument, but a time traveler is defined as someone who does time travel, is it not? LCS check (talk) 12:53, 22 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
      • People are careless about capitalization in searches. I know I am. Most modern search engines default to ignoring case differences. And if a person were looking for general information about time travel, why would they type the additional letters? olderwiser 13:09, 22 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
        • They might be thinking of the subject, the time traveler, being generally the one who travels through time. Most links on this page have letters beyond that, beginning with a "The" or having words after "traveler." LCS check (talk) 13:25, 22 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose We can't really expect someone searching for "time traveler" to be ignorant to the idea of time travel. Even if they were, there's effectively a hatnote in the term being linked in the first sentence. There's no problem here. --BDD (talk) 18:21, 28 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose. Someone going straight for "Time traveler", has already, through the two keystrokes "er", indicated that he does not want "Time travel". --SmokeyJoe (talk) 11:40, 30 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
