Another use

There's another use of the term 'summerland', in reference to the afterlife: it was in the partwork 'The Unexplained:Mysteries of Mind, Space, and time', which analyzed and described many mysterious and paranormal happenings from an impartial and neutral point of view (they even debunked many of the happenings as frauds). The term was mentioned in sections that described what the afterlife was like, according to many 'contacts with the dead'. Summerland in this context was the first place people go to after death, where spirits could live as they like, and have whatever they want, in an unending summer holiday. However, the point of this place was not to reward dead spirits, but to show them how selfish and materialistic their earthly dreams were, so they would be able to eventually advance to more spiritual planes. The thing is, I'm not sure if this is an actual term that is used outside of the series. If it is, I think it should be mentioned here.Bob bobato (talk) 17:53, 14 July 2008 (UTC)

Why is this even still up here?

This is a terrible article. It is very broad and not very well written. The information in it has few if any sources and none of them seem reliable. I wrote a well written article which has since been redirected to this piece of terrible writting. It barely even gets across the point of what the Summerland is!

Two article in one page??

Subjective wording

Much of this article struggles from unclear use of second-person and first-person language, indicating to me that rather than objectively informing readers of its subject, its main goal is proselyting. "Most Wiccans agree that when you are ready, you are reincarnated." [Emphasis added]. I also take issue with the following statement under Wicca: "All of life moves in a circle, not a straight line, like the changing of the seasons and the water cycle. It only makes sense that life itself should do the same."

Overall, much of this article is poorly written and I believe needs to be rewritten. Woolfy123 (talk) 14:37, 25 April 2016 (UTC)

Section blanking

Takehoe has repeatedly blanked the Theosophy section without offering alternative (sourced) material. I'm opening this section so that they can explain their objections to the current material and present sources to back their arguments.- MrX 03:01, 20 June 2017 (UTC)
