Some of the claims made in this draft will have citations added a little later on following acquisition of some primary sources that I've earmarked in a local archive. A few claims will have more secondary sources added in the near future. If anyone has knowledge on the Pythodd or Rochester,NY history please feel free to edit or reply on this talk page. Thanks! I think it should work with the name/topic change. I’m going to do a little cleanup and revision in the coming weeks now that the semester is over. Let me know if you have any suggestions for revisions! Trumpetguy19 (talk) 02:50, 19 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I think this draft may have too wide a focus. One article on the general area, the other on the pythodd room specifically? (and I'd like to say that after dealing with many of the other drafts going through AFC, this one is a breath of fresh air and one that I'd like to see some version of which end up in mainspace (or even two). I don't know if advice in separation is welcome, but I'd be glad to give my opinion if desired.Naraht (talk) 17:58, 22 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi S0091 and @Naraht thanks for the input! I'd support a split especially since Clarissa Street is so much more than just the Pythodd. My only issue with the split is that as a full time student, I don't really have time to devote to both projects until at least May of this year. If either of you have any advice on not just page separation but also sourcing and cleanup so that at least the Pythodd article can go through AfC resubmission sooner rather than later. I know WP:DEADLINE applies to all steps of the process, so I assume there won't be significant pressure to create the pages on a short timescale but I'd also like to frontload resubmission a bit so that there isn't an unrevised, unsubmitted draft of either of these articles sitting around for months. Thanks for the comments and I'd love to have your input on page splitting and revision! Trumpetguy19 (talk) 19:46, 22 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Trumpetguy19, S0091. Honestly, my first suggestion is to split and slim both down. There have been articles that have gone through to approval that have been pretty short. The three sources showing notability plus enough to hook it together should be able to go through. And I at least will keep watch. You could always move this draft and create cleaner and smaller articles from this, put them through the AFC and then periodically add things from this draft after (presumably) to mainspace. And nothing in draftspace is deleted until 6 months after the last edit, so unless you do something it will still be here in may. You may also want to put notes into Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Western New York and Wikipedia talk:WikiProject African diaspora for help.Naraht (talk) 21:17, 22 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
