Getting Started

[edit]

I recently replayed the whole game and garnered a large amount of information. My plan as of now is to simply get it written down and into the article. After that, I'll work on organizing it. Not that I'm just going to throw random bits of info together and post it, but the headings and sub-headings will require work. It will be semi-organized but like everything else, improvement is necessary.Durchschnitt (talk) 18:04, 24 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Missions

[edit]

I have a number of details that I need to add to that the missions section. So like everything else, slowly but surely.Durchschnitt (talk) 02:34, 1 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The article's looking great! See if you can find some nice images to put in it. Evaunit♥666♥ 01:35, 3 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Atlan

[edit]

So you've recently conducted a massive deletion of content from the article based on "Wikipedia is not a video game manual." True, it is defined as an encyclopedia; however, it is most certainly not a normal encyclopedia. I can understand it if you believe there is content that does not meet wiki criteria, but the vast majority of what you took out served an informative purpose. So instead of completely taking out entire sections of this article on your own accord, it would be preferable if you raised your objections here and have them discussed since it seems you have so many. So to make it obvious what I'm asking and to discuss a few other points, here.

  1. Bring up everything you wish to delete is its own separate numbered bullet. That way, it is easy to discuss each separate issue.
  2. I would appreciate it if you added a reference to indicate how you know Human Entertainment didn't develop it. I have seen nothing to indicate otherwise. *If you wish to know, that's what it said when I first began working on this article.*
  3. The fact that Ignition Factor is not available for the Virtual Console is very useful. If you examine other games that are available and have had any personal experience with this game, you would find it relevant and important that it is not available.Durchschnitt (talk) 02:35, 8 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Just out of curiousity, have you seen another game article that stated the game was not on the vitrual console? Evaunit♥666♥ 04:50, 8 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  1. I'm fine with discussing deletions, but I'm not going to list everything I want deleted in a bulleted list for you. This is not your article and I don't have to justify my actions to you in such a manner. The reason I deleted what I did, was based simply on Wikipedia policy. WP:NOTGUIDE clearly states you should not create a game guide or manual. Whether you find your additions "informative", is of no consequence. Also, there are numerous other issues, such as the lack of real-world relevance, original research and undue weight. I suggest you read the style guide on writing about fiction.
  2. "Human Entertainment" was added by someone who thought The Firemen, which actually is by Human, was the same game as this one.
  3. It's non-information. We state on which systems a game is available, not on which systems it isn't. It would be like saying in the article of some random city, that "as of yet, the Olympic Games have not been held here". An extreme example, but you get my point.
Again, I suggest you catch up on some relevant policies and guidelines. Also, adding large amounts of content to an article does not give you control over it. I'll let the article be for a few days (sans the VC edit though) so you can work on it of you so desire. I recommend something of a plot section instead of the level information you wrote and a gameplay section. Cheers, --Atlan (talk) 07:46, 8 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
