Potential incoming conspiracy theorist edits/spam

[edit]

It seems that after the World Economic Forum started to play this concept up earlier this year and began putting out self-important press releases and articles framing it as their Next Big Thing Please Listen To Us, it gradually got picked up by right-wing cranks writing opinion columns against climate change activism and COVID lockdowns. From there it looks like it's trickling down to a broader spectrum of various paranoid conspiracy theorists who are worried about the NWO or "white genocide" or fiat currency or the Mark of the Beast or whatever. Point is, there might be an influx in such edits on this and related topics over the next few months/years, depending on how long it holds their collective attention. Seems there has already been a few attempts to stick in junk Youtube videos, and that could get exponentially worse... or that might be the end of it. No way to tell right now. Well, just a heads-up 'n' FYI to anyone who browses by. 2601:1C0:4500:BFD0:C4DD:D9B:6D0E:2416 (talk) 07:21, 17 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Conspiracy theories aside, the World Economic Forum getting behind this is probably notable enough for it to be included in the article. Maybe there are a few more reliable sources on it now as well? Out of curiosity (and my lack of Wikipedia knowledge,) have editors been reverting junk changes individually or is there automatic prevention in place? General notability

[edit]

I think this article should be either merged, redirected, or deleted. It's not a particularly notable or important work in Florida's corpus and it isn't even linked to from Florida's main Wiki page. ZEQFS (talk) 17:57, 18 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I have added templates as there are no inline citations. If the only 2 reviews are blogs then maybe it does not deserve a Wikipedia article. I suggest a redirect too.Oceanflynn (talk) 16:14, 28 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I removed the external links, that is not a way to derive notability. If someone wants to keep the article, please use them to anchor text. Also blanked a few sections that were totally unsourced. Not sure what is going on here on this article. New editors, feel free to ping one of us (including me) for guidance on this article. We put in text that is sourced with WP:RS and this is not a bulletin board for reposting the content of the book. Maybe this article should be re-purposed and remove "the book" from the article title. There is plenty of coverage of the wider concept of great reset in society and advocated for by various politicians. Jtbobwaysf (talk) 01:45, 20 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
