Chinese Fan Game Award
[edit]"Chinese Fan Game Award" might be a fan's choice award rather than a jury-voted award. Could I move it? Celtic Angel (talk) 23:52, 17 November 2017 (UTC)
- It does seem to be fan choice, so I moved it. ~ Dissident93 (talk) 03:43, 19 November 2017 (UTC)

I would like to request that all team members of the winning team for Best Student Game (Level Squared) be correctly listed. Currently there are only 3 members listed, as The Game Awards chose to list a maximum of 3 on their website. This project was a small independent team of students who worked incredibly hard on this project and deserve equal recognition. The list of members can be found on the Level Squared website, http://lvl2game.com/ In the order listed there, the names are: Kip Brennan, Stephen Scoglio, Dane Perry-Svendsen, Tegan Nicholson, Genevieve Rathgeber, Mark Tan, Matthew Harvey, and Benedict Zeng.
Alternatively, their team name (Glitch Crab Studio) could be used, with a link to their website for the list of team members.
These edits could also be applicable to other student teams. I understand this is a difficult category to display, as it is new this year, and deals with such small and independent teams which can't be easily recognized with a single studio name.

- I understand your concern, but from lvl2game official site, it looks like that these three people are the ones titled as "leads", so it's not like TGA chose them randomly. Like for a film production, while everyone in the team work equally hard, normally it will be the director who got recognized. I think we should stick with official website's way. -fireattack (talk) 07:42, 8 December 2017 (UTC)
- Agreed. Listing every single one when the sources don't shouldn't be done. ~ Dissident93 (talk) 09:24, 8 December 2017 (UTC)
- I will say that at the VG wikiproject we should be looking to see if we can make articles on these games (as recognizition even as a nom is important here). Then we can list out a full team there. We do have brevity here to worry about though. --Masem (t) 14:43, 8 December 2017 (UTC)

@Matt thcat95, Fireattack, Dissident93, and Masem: Not done. It's 3 to 1 against, with the most common concern being a tendency to coordinate with official listings, which list lead team members only. CityOfSilver 19:34, 8 December 2017 (UTC)
Best Multiplayer
[edit]Which game was the winner? And it should be bolded. SquashEngineer (talk) 13:48, 8 December 2017 (UTC)
- We actually don't know. Even TGA's site does not list a winner yet. --Masem (t) 14:42, 8 December 2017 (UTC)
- It was PUBG, for the record. Keighley confirmed earlier today that he simply forgot to mention it during the show. ~ Dissident93 (talk) 19:36, 8 December 2017 (UTC)
Josef Fares' "rant"
[edit]I'm not sure we should yet add this, but his comments towards the situation with loot boxes and EA have been mentioned a lot in sources today. Definitely should wait (hopefully EA doesn't do anything to A Way Out due to that) but something to keep in mind as we get added coverage. --Masem (t) 19:49, 8 December 2017 (UTC)
- Its covered by tons of sources, so it probably should. ~ Dissident93 (talk) 20:05, 8 December 2017 (UTC)
- I am trying to watch for "reception" related to the presentations as those that I found put it as a highlight, alongside a few other things. We should also see viewership #s soon. --Masem (t) 20:30, 8 December 2017 (UTC)
