[edit]

See also Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Casey Jones in popular culture. There was an article which covered the Saunders song, the Joe Hill song, the Disney cartoon, and the TV series about Casey Jones. If Jones had not been popularized by the initial song, he would just had been one more victim of an industrial accident. The article about him in popular culture became a victim of a crusade against "in popular culture" articles. Edison (talk) 04:33, 13 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Rewrite

[edit]

I added the rewrite tags to this article because it seems to be written like a novel, especially the first few lines. --Andrews Palop (talk) 17:30, 26 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I disagree. The writing seems fine to me. Historically accurate to a fault with no artifical embellishment. I fail to see your point. You feel like all information on non-fiction subjects should be clinical and colorless? Homedepotov (talk) 20:27, 29 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia articles should be neutral and stick to the facts. I've removed the gee-whiz editorial commentary, and added a little bit of info about what the song is about to the intro. - JasonAQuest (talk) 16:52, 24 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
