A fact from The Age of Miracles appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know column on 28 August 2013 (check views). The text of the entry was as follows:
Did you know... that the book The Age of Miracles chronicles the fictional phenomenon of "slowing", in which one earth day takes longer to complete?
The movie 'Annihilation' led me to remember a book with a somewhat similar theme as its, & I'm sure that it was a book by this title, but NOT what this one by this author is about, and it was written probably 10-20 years or more before this one. It was about the appearance of various weird structures on the Earth, and when people ventured in, sometimes they didn't come out, or they came out with their insides on the outside, etc. Eventually some people made it in & out ok, bringing with them magical-seeming stuff from inside. I could relate more as to what was going on, but don't want to be a spoiler. I'm sure the title was 'The Age of Miracles', though it was NOT at all what this book mentioned here is about. Maybe it was also published under another different title too? UnderEducatedGeezer (talk) 10:50, 23 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
