true dimensions? Gravesham's leaflet on canal [1] give: "26.5 feet (9.6m) wide including the towpath. The tunnel is 2.5 miles (4.5km) long." Used 1826 Strickland diag.

is this the same tunnel which is now used to link strood train station with higham or is this another tunnel. i don't know why but i always thought that that tunnel was once a canal but i could be wrong Pratj14:53, 8 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
