In the 1986 Jam, Dio went on after Loverboy, not before.
the lineup for the 1979 Texxxas Jam had Van Halen with David Lee Roth on vocals. Sammy Hagar performed as well as a solo act. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.26.182.238 (talk) 18:10, 29 July 2009 (UTC) The winner of the battle of the bands was Savvys —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.186.149.172 (talk) 21:58, 16 April 2010 (UTC)
In the 1978 Original Texxas Jam: The line up is not totaly accurate in Wikipedia, Sammy Hagar did a few tunes prior to Van Halen taking stage. And April Wine did a set after Walter Eagan. It was an awsome concert.. My first of many!! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.183.51.46 (talk) 22:03, 23 April 2010 (UTC) The 78 Texxas Jam had no sign of Sammy Hagar or April Wine. I dont know where this come from but neither were there and the opening band was from Ft. Worth and it was Savvys from which came Ricky Lynn the struggling country singer. Like I said No Sammy and No April Wine.
The Headliner for the 1979 Jam was Heart, Supported by Boston. Blue Oyster Cult DID play last but it was similar to Mahogany Rush's situation from 1978. It was deemed that the headliner should not go as late as BOC did..ie at 11:15. — Preceding unsigned comment added by OSGh0u1 (talk • contribs) 17:58, 14 September 2011 (UTC)
Superbowl of Rock & Roll 1982
[edit]I was there, at the Cottonbowl in 1982. In fact, it was my FIRST concert! I was 13, a very impressionable age. And fir the record, Foriegner was the headlining band, but Loverboy stole the show! It was late summer in August, after the Houston version of the Texas Jam. Just trying to correct the sequence of events. I don't remember the exact date, but it was in August '82. Maybe someone else does? DAN1982 (talk) 12:11, 22 June 2017 (UTC)
