This article reads like an advert for the college, with a strong this and strong that! most pupils acheive an A grad in speling! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.6.62.134 (talk) 18:56, 5 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The "College run"?Lorclyons 16:25, 14 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Why is Terenure College nicknamed "The Gick"?

The college is called the gick because of the fact there used to be farm animals on the propety, i.e. cows, pigs, etc, Pig exceriment (Crap) was commonly called Gick in the mid 20th Century. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Sdspot (talkcontribs) 02:16, August 22, 2007 (UTC).

Please change the princial from Fr Eanna O'hÓbain to Fr. Richard Byrne O.Carm. I don't know the best way to verify it (or if it even needs verification) but on the school's website he is clearly listed as principal: http://www.terenurecollege.ie/index.php/senior-school/introduction

The principals have since swapped again, please change it back to Fr. Éanna Ó hÓbáin O.Carm. The old reference is still valid: http://www.terenurecollege.ie/index.php/senior-school/introduction

Partly done - Kevin Flynn, Jim Buckley and Brendan Sherry do not have Wikipedia articles, so should not be listed.
I have, however, added Mike Hipwell. - Arjayay (talk) 08:25, 31 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Please remove this page on Terenure College as it was not set up by us, Terenure College. Alternativaly, please remove Mike Elmore Meegan from the list of Past Pupils. We did not set up this page and have had no input in its creation. Thank you - Éanna Ó hÓbáin O.Carm., Principal, Terenure College (admin@terenurecollege.ie) 193.120.95.97 (talk) 12:12, 9 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: It is good that you have had no input on the creation of the page, and it will not be delete because you did not set it up. A source such as "Charity founder's fall from grace". The Irish Times. March 21, 2013. Retrieved February 9, 2018. lists Michael Elmore-Meegan as a former pupil, so his name will not be removed as an alternative to deletion. Sam Sailor 12:29, 9 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
(edit conflict) You have a common misunderstanding about Wikipedia. This is not Terenure College's page, it is Wikipedia's page about Terenure College.
We are pleased to hear that you did not set up this page, and that had no input in its creation, as you have a clear Conflict of interest, so should not be editing the page in any case.
We do not want the content of any of our articles distorted by COI editors, who find it difficult to edit from a Neutral point of view.
As for Michael Elmore-Meegan as he is an alumnus, he should remain in our Terenure College page.

here is the wikipedia article - which itself references a number of press articles concerning alexandre de gouyon matignon (sandy matignon)

Not done for now: It needs an article on English Wikipedia. See WP:WRITEITFIRST. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 10:42, 16 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
not in agreement with this
terenure had a tradition of having foreign boarders (south africa, middle east, continental europe, etc)
this decision means that non english speakers (who might have a wikipedia page in their own language but not necessarily in english) would be excluded from the alumni section
conversely, and following this line of reasoning, if one were to create a terenure wikipedia page in italian for example all non italian speakers would be excluded from the page - this does not seem right
i therefore request again that the above alumni be included in the alumni section 2A01:CB18:8282:9C00:C092:4B12:8CBD:70B9 (talk) 17:02, 19 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
