Copy changes
[edit]- I am going to have a lot of comments that relate to phrasing that I find odd. If it is normal in Philippine English, please disregard.
Lead
[edit]Per MOS:TV, the lead should use present tense. "Tamang Panahon" (lit. '"Right Time"') is a benefit concert- no-restrictions meeting What does this mean in context?
Consider linking love team as a phrase peculiar to PH TVbeating its closest competition's 6th anniversary by wide margins Easter Egg linking It's Showtime (Philippine TV program) without its title seems like the wrong tack to take. Let's try something like The commercial-free broadcast garnered high ratings in Mega Manila and nationally, according to multiple television measurement firms, and beat its closest competition—the 6th anniversary of It's Showtime—by a wide margin.
Plot
[edit]Lola Nidora (Wally Bayola) announces that she will allow a no-restrictions policy during Alden (Alden Richards) and Yaya Dub (Maine Mendoza) meetings as long as they trust each other for the sake of love. There's a missing possessive somewhere here, and the phrasing is not helping. Again, it's not clear what "no restrictions" means in context. Perhaps ...during meetings of during Alden (Alden Richards) and Yaya Dub (Maine Mendoza)...
After the announcement, Lola Nidora together with her two other sisters: Lola Tidora (Paolo Ballesteros) and Lola Tinidora (Jose Manalo) reminisce about their younger years. Punctuation reflow. After the announcement, Lola Nidora and her two other sisters—Lola Tidora (Paolo Ballesteros) and Lola Tinidora (Jose Manalo)—reminisce about their younger years.- Lola Nidora received a mystery call Plots are in present tense.
Lola Nidora recollects about her past relationships Remove "about".Lola Nidora orders Rihanna to get the juice for her and DuhRizz What juice?in the scene should be "on the scene". There should be a comma after this per WP:CINS.As the show almost come to a close "comes"- Lola Nidora and the Rogelios are at the car park, fighting off the Riding In Tandem and Nidora
No capitalization of "in".Complete the appositive with a comma after "Tandem".
Production
[edit]- Remember your MOS:DATECOMMAs.
"will" should be "would".for "Tamang Panahon" event missing "the"- I'm wondering if the event name should even be in quotes when not referring to the episode itself.
- Three hours later, TicketWorld said that ticket sales for the "Tamang Panahon" benefit concert broke records for first day sales and the only available tickets are for the Level 4 prize zone.
Hyphenate "first-day""are" should be "were".
- A pre-show at the venue occurred at 10:00 am, which included front act performances and other activities that were hosted by Valeen Montenegro and Jerald Napoles.
- Reword:
At 10 am, a pre-show began, including front act performances and other activities that were hosted by Valeen Montenegro and Jerald Napoles. - Observation: Most of our uses on the encyclopedia of "front act" are from the Philippines. Are these what would be called support acts elsewhere?
- Reword:
- three and half
missing "a" after "and" - This Eat Bulaga! special episode is also the 87th episode of its "Kalyeserye" segment. Feels out of place here. Find another place for it.
- "Tamang Panahon", being an Eat Bulaga! episode, is produced by TAPE Inc.
TAPE went out of business last year, and in any event the tense should be "was". And this can be rephrased. As with the rest of Eat Bulaga, "Tamang Panahon" was produced... - Pia Guanio was absent due to a vacation leave.
maybe try Pia Guanio was on vacation and absent.
Performances
[edit]- should be "songs", not "the songs"
- Add a comma after Velazquez
- The list of singers had list elements containing commas, so I upgraded them to semicolons.
- What are the switching portrayals
- It served as product placement in lieu of the no commercial break rule of the show. Incorrect use of "in lieu of". You can do one of two things:
- It served as product placement in lieu of commercials. (A substitution.)
- It served as product placement, in light of the lack of commercial breaks. (A reason.)
Fundraising
[edit]- Inconsistency with the lead: does the plural of "Lumad" take an S or no? Our article suggests not.
Reception
[edit]I'd strongly consider reflowing paragraph 1:
"Tamang Panahon" was one of the most-watched television events of 2015 in the Philippines. Per AGB Nielsen's Nationwide Urban Television Audience Measurement, "Tamang Panahon" obtained a 50.8% rating in Mega Manila and 42.9% rating in urban areas in the Philippines, while Kantar Media reported a national rating of 40.1%. This compared with It's Showtime's rating of 5.4% in Mega Manila and 10.2% nationally. In Mega Manila, "Tamang Panahon" drew a higher audience share than the 2014 Manny Pacquiao vs. Timothy Bradley II fight and was the highest-rated daytime show episode of 2015.
- Liz Uy of Stylized Studio who was hired as wardrobe stylist for the show made a statement regarding the gown. Add commas after "Studio" and "show" to create an appositive.
- Libiran also commented on the issue and said that Chiu had worn the gown in a 2013 fashion show but the one that Mendoza wore was a different albeit with the same design Try Libiran stated that Chiu had worn the gown in a 2013 fashion show, that he had made replicas for other, lower-profile clients, and that Mendoza's was custom-tailored for her.
- The references here play up something you don't mention here but maybe should: that Chiu was in the rival ABS-CBN stable.
- No reason to say "herself". Just "Kim Chiu appealed" or "Chiu appealed"
- hate and the "gown is just a gown." Try hate, stating that the "gown is just a gown".
- Eat Bulaga! host Allan K also pleaded on Twitter and said that do not put an issue on the gown since Libiran already released a statement about the history of the gown This sentence did not come out quite right, but I can't read the Tagalog source to say what might go here.
Accolades
[edit]- I'd normally frown on the whole hashtag thing, but the media seem to play it up a bit. The fact that it eclipsed a 2014 World Cup fixture for hashtag use, according to one of the sources, feels noteworthy enough to include.
Sourcing and spot checks
[edit]Hi! This list will expand as I check each source. Some will be in edit summaries that I WP:BOLD. These points are open for discussion.
- [2]lionheartv. There should be a source considered more reliable by consensus
Done
- [3]Rappler reflects the claims. For the "no-restriction" part, add citations for hand waves
- [5]GMA: Can you add context on the Level 4 prize zone?
Done
- [13]YouTube is permanently dead and a primary source. There could be news articles that report people involved and Tamang Panahon as the 87th episode.
- [30]adobomagazine.com can be removed or replaced by a better source
Done
I have new points on the article's content:
- Other than the lead, where does the article say "Tamang Panahon" is the 87th episode of "Kalyeserye". Required to pass GA.
- We need a source on how It's Showtime is the closest competition. The fact that It's Showtime 6th Anniversary coincided with "Tamang Panahon" could be added. Remember that the lead should follow the body.

no-restrictions meeting What does this mean in context?
- "no-restrictions" means that Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza (known on her role as Yaya Dub) were finally allowed to meet face to face without any restraint by Wally Bayola (known as his role as Lola NiDora). Quick context, Alden and Yaya Dub can't see each other because NiDora was so strict to Yaya Dub. They can only interact through split screen or in monitor which on a segment of Eat Bulaga! called Juan for all all for Juan. That segment (Kalyeserye) was just added, like it was just for fun of the hosts, and then it turned into an actual episode. I remember I was watching Kalyeserye and I think that coined that title by the host of Eat Bulaga is Joey De Leon it's just a impromptu title, lol. And on the first episode there is no script for that, whatever they say as a joke, that's its it's just whatever comes to their mind. Until the end of Tamang Panahon. After that, they became so obvious using a script until Kalyeserye flopped.

The important thing is, when Meng (Maine Mendoza) wore it, history turned out. - @Royiswariii: Yes, you do need to add (pictured) next to the article's Wikilink in the hook. However, the image you choose has to be 1. Used in the article and 2. Directly relevant to the hook. So for example, if you mentioned the episode instead of the hashtag, then it would be "Tamang Panahon" (leads pictured). If you mentioned AlDub, it might be "AlDub" (pictured). Thus it's a bit tricky given your hook. Yue🌙 08:29, 26 January 2025 (UTC)

Approving both hooks. I don't think the photo would fit with the original hook (ALT1), but ALT0 is the better hook anyways. Also, even if ALT0 is chosen by the promoter, the photo won't necessarily be displayed; it's up to the promoter. Yue🌙 06:16, 27 January 2025 (UTC)
