Unreleased games:

[edit]

Takeru was short lived, but boasted heavy hitter devs who had directed Strider, Mega Man, and others. They also had a ton of unreleased games, and instead of making new articles for them, I'm gonna park them here in this article. Harizotoh9 (talk) 00:11, 18 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Name

[edit]

Takeru is the company name, and "Sur de Wave" is either the brand name, or the publisher, or maybe it was spun off? Sources treat them the same. The JP article for Takeru is actually for "Sur de Wave" (JP:シュールド・ウェーブ), and I guess they'd know better. Most English sources call them "Takeru". I guess the JP want to keep it separate from the unrelated JP:ソフトベンダーTAKERU run by Brothers industries.

Also keep in mind, a lot of English sources in early mags call them "Shieldwave". They're trying to translate "シュールド・ウェーブ" without any guidance, and "Shieldwave" is a reasonable but wrong translation. Harizotoh9 (talk) 16:35, 23 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
