Notability
[edit]Please discuss here why the Notability tag should be removed. - Ph D degree, famous parent and a book "yet to be published" - none of these call for an inclusion in an encyclopedia. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Armanaziz (talk • contribs) 09:43, 22 January 2007 (UTC).
Hello, You must be new here or else you would have seen the rest of Wikipedia with its vast quantity of articles on truly ephemeral trivia, including entries on individual Pokemon characters!!! At least this woman is a real living breathing woman and has actually seen herself in print.
But since you insist, I'll provide you with links: She's been published in Granta (issue number 96) which is the premiere literary magazine in the UK. Edited by Ian Jack, it has published Simon Winchester, Paul Theroux, Zadie Smith, Salman Rushdie, Harold Pinter, Philip Pullman and many other famous writers. Ian Jack himself took the initiative to publish Anam in Granta when he read extracts of her work. She's been published in the New Statesman this week, and all of this really is advance buzz for her book which is out in about 6 weeks' time. She actually has a two-book deal with John Murray who by the way are a leading publisher in the UK.

I will add a couple of things: Google is your friend. All that I've told you here is on Google, so I suggest you kindly check it all out. The other thing I will say is that you kindly familiarize yourself with the Notability rules on Wikipedia because Tahmima Anam quite easily clears that barrier. -- Cheers, Peripatetic 10:02, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
