About Lead rewrite

[edit]

Hi @Armanaziz:, I have noticed you are making significant changes to Bangladesh article, which is a good thing, the article was written in poor condition. I urge to write in such a way so that it gets GA nomination. I also request you to look into Bengal and West Bengal articles, see if any changes are required. I assume you do have good knowledge about these articles.Thanks--Aakanksha55 (talk) 06:35, 5 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Bangladesh, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page British (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Please help me, there's racially motivated edits by admins

[edit]

I made a youtuBe video on this.Title is called Wiki admins ST47 and EvergreenFir helping racist user Hunan201p https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i1ed_NwQ7ds

Please come to the talk page of Descent from Genghis Khan and Mongoloid. PLEASE HELP https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Talk:Descent_from_Genghis_Khan https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Talk:Mongoloid

I evidence to show racially motivated edits are involved. For example have been making double standard racist edits against East Eurasian males, genetics, achievement, anthropology and everything related to it from 2019 march to 2020. BUT NOBODY TRIES TO STOP HIM and let's him continue.

https://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=Special:Contributions/Hunan201p&offset=&limit=500&target=Hunan201p

An than unfortunately you have wiki admins EvergreenFir who does nothing to solve this. Defending the edits of Hunan201p, not allowing anyone to removes his edits. Why doesn't he remove the controversial dispute if he wants to make this fair and square instead he just simply allows. Hunan201p to keep his version of the edits https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/User:EvergreenFir

The minute you even try to remove EvergreenFir will block page, block your account, and restore all the edits of Hunan201p

Descent from Genghis Khan, all 5 bodies were Mongoloid were edited since 2016 ( with over 1,000,000 page views since december 2016). Why remove all of sudden just because it's Hunan201p https://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=Descent_from_Genghis_Khan&diff=753061615&oldid=752989020

For example the edits that Hunan removed from Central Asia section of interracial marriage had existed since 2012 Why was this allowed for nearly 8 years (with over estimated 7,000,000 page views possibly ) https://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=Interracial_marriage&diff=480229643&oldid=480228326

Why doe wiki editor EvergreenFir and ST47 help Hunan201p https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/User_talk:ST47

You can see that instead of removing Hunan201p edits it removes all the edits that every other users have edited. Many of them were friends, and some people I had asked after seeing what's going

Template:BENGALIYEAR

[edit]

জানতে: অনুগ্রহ করে যদি Template:BENGALIYEAR-এর {{#expr: {{#expr: {{#time:m|+6 Hours}} * 100 + {{#time:j|+6 Hours}}}}>413}} অংশটা একটু ব্যাখ্যা করতেন? কেন এই অংশ দরকার? এখানে 413 কি দিন? ধন্যবাদ --আফতাবুজ্জামান (talk) 16:21, 14 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @আফতাবুজ্জামান:, sure will try. I am multiplying the number of month by 100 and then adding the number of days. Thus for Jan 20 the returned value is 100+20=120; for March 8 the value is 300+8=308 etc. So, you can see 413 is 13th April.
By default > symbol within an expression returns 0 if false, 1 is true. Thus I am adding 1 to the year if the date is after 13th April ( day before pohela Boishakh) and adding 0 otherwise. Lastly, the +6 Hours help convert the time to BST. Hope it clarifies.-Arman (Talk) 08:56, 16 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Armanaziz, your GAN for Bangladesh has had some comments. It's been opened to a second reviewer, meaning that the review has not been completed, but it would be great if you could start to address some of the comments that have already been made first - this may also encourage a new reviewer to finish it, as it shows you are engaged in the process. File permission problem with File:Shahbag BSMMU Hospital 3.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Shahbag BSMMU Hospital 3.jpg, which you've attributed to Ragib Hasan. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Recent edit reversion

[edit]

In this edit here, I reverted some information that appears to be a violation of our copyright policy.

I provided a brief summary of the problem in the edit summary, which should be visible just below my name. You can also click on the "view history" tab in the article to see the recent history of the article. This should be an edit with my name, and a parenthetical comment explaining why your edit was reverted. If that information is not sufficient to explain the situation, please ask.

I do occasionally make mistakes. We get hundreds of reports of potential copyright violations every week, and sometimes there are false positives, for a variety of reasons. (Perhaps the material was moved from another Wikipedia article, or the material was properly licensed but the license information was not obvious, or the material is in the public domain but I didn't realize it was public domain, and there can be other situations generating a report to our Copy Patrol tool that turn out not to be actual copyright violations.) If you think my edit was mistaken, please politely let me know and I will investigate. S Philbrick(Talk) 15:02, 10 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Portal

[edit]

Hi Armanaziz: The Bangladesh portal hasn't been updated for a while, by you since Sept. 2019 (diff). I have made some layout upgrades and plan on updating it soon with more articles. Since you're listed as a portal maintainer, letting you know, and inquiring about any ideas you may have. North America1000 11:04, 12 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Northamerica1000, thanks for your interest in the Bangladesh portal. Your observation regarding the portal not being updated recently is not fully accurate. The portal is designed in such a way that other than structural changes, which are expected to be rare for a stable portal, most content change happen in sub-pages. If you review the portal sub-pages you'll see I last updated DYK items on 26 Jan 2021 and added a new image in the featured image rotation pool recently on 27 Sep 2021. That being said, you're most welcome if you'd like to update the portal with more articles. I am happy to collaborate on any initiative that you may have regarding this Portal. Arman (Talk) 06:56, 14 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the reply. I have it on my list now for potential improvements. If you watchlist it, you will be able to see, if you'd like. Thanks for the info above as well. Ideas include updating using the newer transclusion templates, which deliver verbatim content to that in articles, so subpages don't have to be updated. This is particularly important for biographical articles, such as when a person passes away, but the portal content states that they're still alive. Also, FA- and GA-class articles can be added, which I plan on doing. See Wikipedia:WikiProject Bangladesh/Featured and good content for a listing of them. Anyway, feel free to discuss anytime. Hi, I noticed that you edited Uttara (neighbourhood) several times. But you edited the article to represent the place as Thana which is misconception. It is true that in past Uttara was a Thana and there was only a thana in that area. But now Uttara doesn't limited to only one thana. We have Uttara East, Uttara West and Turag Thana. But what you did is you added the category Category:Thanas of Dhaka to the article and in present there is no thana in Dhaka named Uttara only. The fact is Uttara was developed as a satellite town, then it was administrated as a thana, but now it is part of Dhaka Metropolitan and there are three thanas in Uttara. And that's why I reverted your edits. Hope that you understand. Mehedi Abedin 11:27, 24 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
