Assessment
[edit]I have assessed this article for the Wiki Schools Project to help in future improvement. As I see below the page looks brilliant. What is missing )I think) are some references. This would move the page up in importance. Welcome. Victuallers 15:24, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
Message from the Team
[edit]Hello, driftheory and I are building up this wiki because we thought that such a nice High School deserves to have a nicer wikipedia entry. After the initial makeover, we may come back to fix mistakes, but in no way will we be held responsible or liable for other's mistakes or vandalism on this wiki, so please consider before editting! Thanks. I also manage the Westfields Sports High School Wiki Article, with Driftheory.

Hello People, I'm one of the collaborators who entirley changed the face of Sydney Girls High School wiki page. Just outta interest I wanted to make this page even better as it was (very dull) but as it is not my page, anyone is free to edit as they wish. Just dont place anything rude or offensive. We worked hard to build up this page. (I also manage the Westfields Sports High School Wiki Article, with Seoul. You are free to judge and edit that page. Feedback is welcome)

You guys have done a really good job -- are either of you students? I really can't think of anything to add.

We're both male students from Westfields Sports High School.

hailstorm
[edit]I wouldn't call the hailstorm a defining moment in the history of SGHS - it affected Sydney Boys High School equally yet i think doesn't get a mention. If not removed it should at least be pushed down the page a little.
- It did actually close Sydney Girls for a week and put the entire school into demountables for some months. For Sydney Boys, damage was substantial with a couple of classrooms unusable and, due to delays in sourcing replacement tiles from Italy, numerous other rooms unusable during wet weather due to roof leaks. But certainly not as significant as the effect on the Girls school.
- But, that said, I would agree it doesn't really belong in the history section as it is - Hornetfig 06:54, 22 July 2006 (UTC)
- Maybe a referance[1] to it and then a link to the article Sydney Hailstorm ----- or a new sub article pertaining it's affect upon the High Schools.
How are refs done?
[edit]- ^ refs are done like this
References
[edit]Victuallers, I'm afraid I don't understand what you mean by "Readers can count references". I tagged the article because most of the article has no references. Cdlw93 (talk) 09:43, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Sghs logo.jpg
[edit]Image:Sghs logo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

updating citations
[edit]Hi, I noticed that many of the citations are linked to an old, now non-existent website. I am working through updating these to the current official website. Krustii (talk) 12:47, 30 August 2024 (UTC)
