Merging

Yes, these two pages should be merged. They are about exactly the same product and contain information overlap. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.126.201.39 (talk) 22:17, 21 August 2005

I have merged them. JIP | Talk 09:01, 27 August 2005 (UTC)

Ingredients

I removed "Gelatin" from the ingredients list. This was added by 65.30.154.44 on May 27 for unknown reasons. Gelatin is not listed on the ingredients list of the bag in front of me and is not listed on the ingredients list at the official Swedish Fish web site. Swedish Fish is even listed on PETA's vegan candy list (gelatin is an animal product). Be careful when editing the ingredients list... -24.118.117.0 06:30, 20 June 2006 (UTC)

Webcomic?

This hardly seems like a good place to put the webcomic thing. 71.232.85.127 00:16, 3 February 2007 (UTC)

Fish Species?

I have been unable to find whether the shape of Swedish Fish is based on a real fish species or just a generic fish design. Does anyone have information as to the origin of the Swedish Fish design? 199.46.199.233 15:24, 2 April 2007 (UTC)

The sweedish fish of course --frotht 18:23, 13 June 2007 (UTC)
Bah humbug. So much for the hypothesis that all swedish fish are babblefish then eh? ;) Knotwork (talk) 08:43, 21 April 2008 (UTC)

Law suit - trademarks

Does anyone know about a lawsuit involving cadbury adams and sweeden? I heard about some sort of lawsuit where sweden created a new new swedish fish but got sued by cadbury adams ... but cant find anything on the net. Is this urban myth?

I think the trademark of swedish fish is interesting. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.45.240.18 (talk) 19:07, 17 April 2008‎

I don't think a country would go to that length to create a new candy. Doc StrangeMailboxLogbook 22:00, 11 October 2008 (UTC)

Smälla till din moder

I guess this is just vandalism and think it should be removed or at least have a citation if it's not. "Smaken så god den göra du vilja till smälla `till din moder." 79.136.60.34 (talk) 10:47, 22 May 2008 (UTC)

Grape Fish

The small swedish fish are/were available in grape flavor. However for some reason, they have always been VERY hard to find. I have only ever seen them for sale at the Cowtown Flea Market in Pilesgrove, NJ.

According to this page, they are no longer made...  :( candy4u.com : Swedish Fish Mini Grape Flavor Box —Preceding unsigned comment added by Wkrick (talkcontribs) 18:31, 24 June 2008 (UTC)

Self serving pick and mix loose candies

The following note all countries have shops with loose candies like this is not correct, many countries do not have this kind of shops with self serving pick and mix loose candies. It is not usual in many middle and south Europaean countries, like Greece, Hungary, Austria and so on. Warrington (talk) 16:53, 8 March 2009 (UTC)

Svenskar Fiskar - sv/Wiki

There is no article called Svenskar Fiskar in the Swedish language Wiki. At least, I can't find it. :-( --JohnTheSupercargo (talk) 10:11, 7 April 2009 (UTC)

That's because there are no "svenska fiskar" in Swedish. In Swedish they're called "salta sillar" ( See e.g. this picture. ). The phrase "salta sillar" literally means 'salty herrings'. I'm not sure Salta sillar deserves it's own wikipedia article, though.

Are they really winegum?

The wine gum article says that wine gum candies are made from animal gelatin; this article classifies Swedish Fish as wine gum, yet also says they don't contain gelatin. What's right?--Theodore Kloba (talk) 19:10, 11 December 2009 (UTC)

Maybe animal gelatin is usually, but not always, an ingredient in wine gum candy. If that is the case, the wine gum page needs to be more specific. Mellophonius (talk) 02:56, 8 February 2010 (UTC)
