Pictures
[edit]Can someone please post some pictures of a Sub-Riemannian manifold? 01:18, 21 July 2010 Special:Contributions/66.104.252.161
- One of the simplest examples I know of is a fence of fixed length, encompassing an area of arbitrary shape. I don't know how to draw a picture of that. Another simple example is a car driving in any direction along any path. I don't know how to draw pictures of that. They are high-dimensional. 67.198.37.16 (talk) 02:24, 10 January 2019 (UTC)
What is a horizontal distribution ?
[edit]The article defines distribution and horizontal vector field; it does not define horizontal distribution, but the text uses the term.
A side issue is whether the article should explicitly mention Lie bracket or Lie derivative before using the [foo, bar] notation. -- Shmuel (Seymour J.) Metz Username:Chatul (talk) 16:05, 21 May 2023 (UTC)
- Both problems should now be fixed. Daaash (talk) 15:51, 19 September 2024 (UTC)
