What's with the semen??? Has this article been vandalized? 190.45.131.7 (talk) 22:33, 7 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Isn't it a ripoff of "again" by lenny kravitz? 82.166.137.254 01:34, 3 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I can sort of see where you're coming from but I think they're differant enough for us to assume good faith on Gallagher's part until he says otherwise.--Crestville 14:09, 3 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, I was just wondering if it's a known issue or not. 82.166.137.254 20:46, 3 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
That's ok.

No it isn't. If anything SCYHO is a ripoff of Slide Away. There just isn't that much you can do with simple pop melodies. After 40 years of this genre we're pretty much at a stage now where it's impossible to craft something that doesn't sound extremely similar to songs already written. Oasis will always be accused of 'ripping off' others because their stock in trade is writing pub anthems, which by their very nature have to be very simple. I've got no problem with Oasis using C G Am F type progression in 50% of their songs as long as I can sing along and feel happy.

Yet despite all that I don't think SCYHO sounds much like 'again'. If anything 'again' by lenny kravitz's sounds like a rip off of the Home and Away theme tune! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.99.121.131 (talk) 11:55, 21 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The chorus of SCYHO is the biggest rip off of slide away, it should be in the article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 220.236.134.153 (talk) 02:45, 18 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Stopcryingyourheartout.jpg

[edit]

Image:Stopcryingyourheartout.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Gas can? Gasoline?

[edit]

Considering that the song is British, the artists are British and the video was shot in London, surely it's a petrol can (not a gas can) and petrol (not gasoline)! Skinsmoke (talk) 23:25, 13 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Does anyone have the Oasis album Heathen Chemistry booklet ?!?!

[edit]

If you do then can you tell me what the credits and personnel are for "Stop Crying Your Heart Out", "Thank You for the Good Times" and "Shout It Out Loud" in the booklet please? Either on "Stop Crying Your Heart Out's talk page or on my user talk please, it would be very appreciated.  — AARONTALK 19:36, 11 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

From the lead
  • "Stop Crying Your Heart Out" was certified Silver - Capital "S"?
  • by the British Phonographic Industry - by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI) + make necessary changes in the Chart performance section also
  • her second studio album Echo - her second studio album Echo (2009)
  • it peaked at number 29 on the UK Singles Chart and number 11 on the UK R&B Chart - Consistency is much needed here. Either use the written form everywhere or the numerical form. And please make necessary corrections in the Chart performance section as well
Composition and lyrics
  • It's melodic structure bares strong resemblances - Its melodic structure bears strong resemblances
  • to one of Oasis's singles from htheir debut studio album
Leona Lewis version
  • Very well-written but there are some over-linkings. Please take care of them.
All Leona articles linked to this section of the article, so think like Noel Gallagher and Oasis are linked because people may not scroll up to read the original bit first. Unless you mean't over linking in the Leona section specifically?
  • No need to link music critics
  • Background vocals were sung - Can we sing them? "... were provided" would be better, right?
Notes
  • to Oasis official website - to Oasis's official website
On hold

Music video

[edit]

Why is there no description of the music video for the Oasis version? I can see it in the article history but not in the current version.--Commander Keane (talk) 09:42, 15 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
