[edit]He used to host a video show on the California Music Channel (CMC) program...channel 26, KTSF. When we were kids we called this the "poor man's MTV."
MTV VJ
[edit]I recently removed the claim that Steve Masters was a VJ for MTV because I can't find any verification of it anywhere. My change was reverted on the grounds that it's in his biography. However, that biography is on Masters's own website, and there are absolutely zero third-party reliable sources that back up the claim (that I can find at least). Wikipedia doesn't allow self-published sources that can't be verified anywhere else if there is a reasonable doubt as to the reliability of the information, and I think there can be reasonable doubt because if he truly was a VJ on MTV there would be record of it somewhere. I doubt a person can be a host on a popular music channel that's broadcast around the world and not have anyone make a mention of it. If a third party source can't be found then that statement must be removed on WP:BLP grounds. -- Atamachat 16:29, 8 July 2009 (UTC)
The Quake
[edit]Didn't Steve Masters used to work at the Quake in San Francisco in the early eighties?
Someone should create a Wikipedia page for The Quake. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ppantera (talk • contribs) 17:20, 16 May 2013 (UTC)
