Reliable and non-neutral sources

[edit]

A BLP article should not rely excessively blogs or other usergenerated content (wordpress.com), nor on clearly promotional Eventbrite pages (at least one of which is still selling tickets to a Steve Harrison class: Wikipedia is not for promotion!) The references to Bloomberg News etc seem to merely host publicity blurbs, the links to Amazon.com are clearly commercial, and references to BrandRepublic.com, even if actually written by an independent writer, is suspect when the entire website is dedicated to marketing, advertising, and PR. Lastly, should this person actually be notable beneath all the promotion, the references should be clear: Author, date, source, publisher, (see citation templates) not sneaky descriptions of the reference that obscure who, when, and where the info came from. --Animalparty-- (talk) 19:40, 20 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Understood, I will endeavour to provide more solid links and remove the links to Amazon and Eventbrite, the Wordpress link is from Salford University, but will find something that is more robust. Many thanks for your help. (RedJulianG40 (talk) 19:58, 20 February 2015 (UTC))[reply]
