What Is Considered Long Island?

[edit]

There's the island of Long Island, and then there's "Long Island," as in the part of the island that is only Nassau and Suffolk counties. The beginning of the article reads that it is the only public liberal arts university "on Long Island." Brooklyn College is a public liberal arts university on the island of Long Island. We don't have to answer that question: the statement in the lede was unsourced and not discussed or sourced in the body of the article so I have removed it. It's incumbent on anyone who wants to add it back to the article to provide a reliable source. ElKevbo (talk) 03:11, 20 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
