"more co-ordinated pattern of competition" ..
[edit][1] Please clarify this : I assume this is the previous working arrangement where EYMS doesn't compete directly by operating services that only are within Hull, and Stagecoach doesn't compete with EYMS services outside hull... ) This goes back to at least the 1930s.. Whatever it is please explain. Thanks.Sf5xeplus (talk) 23:21, 28 February 2011 (UTC)
Fleet
[edit]Why is there no details of the fleet with appropriate links to the articles covering them ? 31.55.34.125 (talk) 22:04, 20 October 2013 (UTC)
- Because there unencyclopedic & they never got updated. Davey2010T 22:22, 20 October 2013 (UTC)

Proposed split
[edit]I propose that the 'History' section of this article be split into Kingston upon Hull City Transport. There may be an element of hometown bias here, but having been writing this article on and off for about three years now, I think the 'History' section, which pretty much takes up half the article now, should be mostly split into its own article.
Personally, I think the 'History' section would stand up in it's own article. A potential split would allow editors to go into further detail about the fleet and of the Hull Corporation Transport era, but I'm concerned about rendering the split Stagecoach article to be a borderline stub. Plus, is there precedent for these sort of small UK bus municipals having their own articles? Hullian111 (talk) 17:59, 12 June 2023 (UTC)
- Oppose, at 23k, is well below the threshold for a WP:SIZESPLIT. Splitting the article would just be WP:CONTENTFORK. Stagecoach in Hull, much like most of the former municipal operators that were sold in the 1990s, is basically the municipal business renamed.
- If splitting resulted in a borderline stub, then it would likely end up being deleted or re-merged. Covering the operator in both public and private ownership in one article isn't inhibiting the article from being expanded. Suggest leaving as it is and revisiting if the article ever becomes too large. Kermelei (talk) 00:07, 16 October 2023 (UTC)
