Regarding the quoting of "the Last Will and Testament"
[edit]Why do we need to add the document when it is in Wikisource and already just a link away in the article? John Park (talk) 02:49, 21 July 2009 (UTC)
- Actually I did not see the link - the only reason I added the document is because the article was a redirect from "The Last Will and Testament" which is confusing since the redirect does not point to the actual last will and testament. So we either need to undo the redirect or find a better way to handle it. Any thoughts? --Virgil Vaduva (talk) 14:18, 21 July 2009 (UTC)

- Read in Barton W. Stone:
- In a disagreement with the Kentucky synod over its determination to censure a minister for what they said was deviation from doctrine of the Westminster Confession of Faith, in 1803 Stone and four other ministers formed the Springfield Presbytery.[1]: 696, 697 By 1804 the Springfield Presbytery had attracted 15 congregations in Ohio and Kentucky.[1]: 697 The leaders of this newer presbytery became concerned by its growth, because they did not want to create a new denomination or "party".[1]: 697 Ultimately convinced that their newer Springfield Presbytery was sectarian, the ministers dissolved it on June 28, 1804.
- Therefore, one would conclude that either Springfield, Kentucky or Springfield, Ohio would be the Springfield in discussion. MaynardClark (talk) 18:41, 5 December 2015 (UTC)
