Notable alumni
[edit]This section needs a lot of work.
In addition to some general cleanup, this section needs sources. The heading I changed included the claim "(Source 1907–2007 Centennial Celebration)". This is problematic. The title is not a working citation and I have not been able to track it down. Any hints here? By including the source in the heading, it implied that all of the people included were in that source (other editors adding rumors and such basically "piggy backed" on this source. Whether or not the source is reliable, we obviously cannot use it for names not included in it.
Anyone who has sources for any notable alumni, please add them to the article. If you have trouble figuring out how to do that, feel free to post the information here on the talk page and we'll work through it. Thanks! - SummerPhD (talk) 00:25, 15 January 2013 (UTC)
- Additionally, please note that the section is titled "Notable alumni". Who belongs in this section? Simple: People who are alumni of SPHS and are notable. We do not include people who are one or the other but not both. Julius Ceasar, Ming Na and Barack Obama, for example, are all notable, but not are not alumni, so that are not included. Similarly, people who are alumni, but not notable, do not belong on the list. Our general criteria on this is that we include only those individuals who have existing articles.
- If you are aware of an individual who you think belongs on the list but does not have an article, establish an article, then add them to the list. - SummerPhD (talk) 17:23, 21 March 2014 (UTC)
