The page was deprodded because the prod mentioned some sort of shooting. Not sure what that was all about. The article does not mention any shootings. It should also be pointed that the current sources, which are all WP:RS (of course) range from:
• 2006 to
• 2021 to
• February 2022 to
• May 2022
So it seems the sources have been and continue to regard the subject as a matter of interest across the decades. Of course the article is likely to be further expanded. XavierItzm (talk) 15:31, 12 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Currently, with the exception of the citation #9, all of the secondary coverage is in the context of a February 2022 shooting that occurred at the school (except citation #14, which I now see is about an unrelated gun incident a few months prior). Across the sources (other than #9), I'm not seeing significant coverage of the school itself, just routine news coverage of incidents that happened near the school. I'm unable to access the full text of #9, but based on the title and excerpt, it seems like trade journal PR from an architect or building company affiliated with the school's construction. All told, I don't see a case for WP:GNG at this time. signed, Rosguill talk 16:05, 12 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I just added a
• 2016 source (CNN)
. With sources spanning across such a long tome span, I see a case for WP:GNG at this time. XavierItzm (talk) 16:20, 12 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
My concern is that the coverage in these cited sources (CNN inclusive) isn't about the school, and only mentions the school incidentally. I don't think that WP:SIGCOV is met. I would be swayed by articles that specifically examine the history of the South Education Center, its role in its community, etc. signed, Rosguill talk 16:29, 12 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
It should also be pointed out that questioning the well-respected and cited trade journal Finance and Commerce (ISSN 8750-6149) is not good form. A trade magazine's proper coverage would include high tech details of recent, large and innovative infrastructure construction projects. XavierItzm (talk) 16:32, 12 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Respected trade journals often contain a mix of promotional and reliable content, it is the format of the genre, and the title of this piece suggests that it may be the former (as well as the rather barebones quoted excerpt included in the inline citation). At any rate, a single source with in depth coverage is not enough for GNG--if there were several such sources cited, I would have recused myself as unable to assess the available coverage. signed, Rosguill talk 16:35, 12 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Feedback from New Page Review process

[edit]

I left the following feedback for the creator/future reviewers while reviewing this article: Interesting that the most notable event is not mentioned in the article. Using 8 sources for cherry-picked information but not covering the event..

Editor Kablammo added mention of an early 2022 shooting on 23 July 2022; the source is a news report from 19 May 2022. XavierItzm (talk) 11:05, 3 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
