[edit]

Much of the content for South Arapaho Peak is from the North Arapaho Peak page as the peaks are very close to each other and there was no article for South Arapaho Peak. I was looking at peaks I had climbed in the past, and South Arapaho Peak was one of them, so since there was no article for it, I thought I'd create one with the appropriate changes. I wasn't sure how to attribute the information from North Arapaho Peak, however. I have gone and put in another edit summary for this with an attribution. I hope that I did this correctly.

Contested deletion

[edit]

This page should not be speedy deleted as an unambiguous copyright infringement, because the information was attributed to the Wikipedia article for nearby North Arapahoe Peak when it was created (but altered for South Arapahoe Peak). Also, North Arapahoe Peak uses similar wording to South Arapahoe Peak, yet is not flagged for speedy deletion. It is unclear whether the wording in North Arapahoe Peak was taken from the website in question, or vice versa. If the wording is problematic, it can simply be altered so as not to match that of the website in question. I was not even aware of the website that was pointed out when creating the article. --Leavit2stever (talk) 23:05, 16 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Upon researching the history for North Arapahoe Peak, it appears that the Wikipedia article likely predates the webpage entry. So it appears that the webpage is a copyright infringement of the Wikipedia page for North Arapaho Peak.Leavit2stever (talk) 23:15, 16 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

It appears that the webpage https://wanderingvertexes.blogspot.com/2017/01/arapaho-peak-painted-by-charles.html is in fact a Wikipedia Mirror of the North Arapahoe Peak Wikipedia article.Leavit2stever (talk) 23:22, 16 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
