Lovely loco. First AC traction diesel electric loco in our fleet. We transferred a 50 loaded wagon train from Steelpoort to Belfast with four of these. We stopped and cut out two traction motors just before the ruling grade. No problem, you can loose one traction motor and the same power is redistributed to the remaining 5 traction motors. First diesel to have Dynamic brake down to 1km/h. I just love these diesels.
