Requested move
[edit]I'm requesting that Lapham Institute be moved to the current redirect page Smithville Seminary. Smithville Seminary was not only the institutions original name, but the name it held the longest, by far. It's also the name used by the National Register of Historic Places. The article content is already set up to use Smithville Seminary as its primary designation; all that's left is to swap the article names. I'd normally consider this uncontroversial, especially since I'm one of the two editors who's contributed most to improving the quality of the article, but I'd prefer to be polite about it and seek consensus, if nothing else. --Aepoutre (talk) 02:55, 27 November 2008 (UTC)
Seems agreed upon by the two editors with the most contributions to this article. See: User talk:Swampyank#Lapham Institute and User talk:Aepoutre#Smithville Seminary. --Aepoutre (talk) 05:25, 29 November 2008 (UTC)
Notable alumni section
[edit]I removed a two people from this section because they do not have their own Wikipedia articles which is required for establishing notability, per Wikipedia guidelines. The information I removed is: Mary Latham Clark, author[1] and George Day, editor of the Morning Star. Thanks--BuzyBody (talk) 00:31, 26 March 2014 (UTC)
