Sky EspañaSky (Spanish OTT television service) – There's no company named "Sky España" (unlike Sky Deutschland and Sky Italia). The service is directly operated by Sky in the UK, and is simply marketed as "Sky", rather than "Sky España". JSH-alive/talk/cont/mail 08:10, 1 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@JSH-alive: I think Sky (Spanish TV channel) would be the WP:NCBC-compliant name. --IJBall (contribstalk) 13:06, 1 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@IJBall: That wouldn't be appropriate either, since it has more than one channel, and none of the channels in the Spanish line-up is operated by Sky. JSH-alive/talk/cont/mail 13:58, 1 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Gonnym: Thoughts? – Maybe Sky (Spanish TV network)?... --IJBall (contribstalk) 14:34, 1 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Or Sky (Spanish TV provider), maybe? JSH-alive/talk/cont/mail 14:37, 1 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
The latter is still not compliant with WP:NCBC. I'm thinking Sky (Spanish TV network) is probably the best option here, but maybe Gonnym will have other suggestions... --IJBall (contribstalk) 14:39, 1 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
From reading the article it seems that WP:NCBC did indeed drop the ball on this. It's not a network or a channel, but really a provider. I've checked an similar Israeli one I know for sure what it is, and it too is not helpful (Yes (Israel). --Gonnym (talk) 11:08, 4 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
OK, based on that, I could get behind Sky (Spanish TV service)... --IJBall (contribstalk) 12:25, 4 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose It is a pay television provider such as Sky UK, Sky Ireland, Sky Deutschland and Sky Italy. The only difference is that the above are the largest satellite TV providers in their respective countries and Sky Spain is a young provider and offers pay television through the Internet, with its decoder or through its website or mobile application, where you can play Spanish pay-TV channels or video on demand content in Spanish, obviously it's a Spanish television provider. If the names of the articles of the Sky divisions in their countries are Sky + Country, why are we going to change it here? It does not make any sense. --Carlitoscarlos (talk) 15:18, 5 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

List of channels

[edit]

I removed the list of channels available there. It's against WP:NOTDIR, and similar lists of channels available on a multichannel service have been discouraged after following discussions, all citing that rule.
