Worship and Festivals
[edit]Hi folks,
I have a question about the second paragraph in the "Worship and Festivals" section:
"Prajapati describes Sita as primal Prakriti, or primordial nature. She is, asserts the text, same as Lakshmi and the Shakti (energy and power) of Vishnu."
This sentence described Prajapati as a text, but the hyperlinked article on Prajapati describes him as a deity. I tried looking into the sources cited to find out what I'm missing, but wasn't able to find anything that clarified these two sentences. Can someone help me out?

Washerman?
[edit]The section called later years and second exile has this sentence: "During Rama's period of rule, an intemperate washerman, while berating his wayward wife, declared that he was "no pusillanimous Rama who would take his wife back after she had lived in the house of another man".
I cannot find any mention of this figure in the relevant chapter in any English translation of the Ramayana, where it appears to be public sentiment rather than a specific incident. I'm guessing this is a local oral tradition associated with this episode, so should it be included here? Chronikhiles (talk) 05:31, 14 January 2025 (UTC)
