Hello! This is a note to let the editors of this article know that File:Sign Painting, LA, CA, jjron 22.03.2012.jpg will be appearing as picture of the day on December 29, 2013. You can view and edit the POTD blurb at Template:POTD/2013-12-29. If this article needs any attention or maintenance, it would be preferable if that could be done before its appearance on the Main Page. Thanks! — Crisco 1492 (talk) 23:21, 4 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Sign painting
Sign painting is the art of painting announcements or advertisements on buildings, billboards or signboards. The occupation has become less common with the advent of computer printing. Here two painters are creating a new sign on a wall of the Figueroa Hotel in Los Angeles, California.Photo: John O'Neill

Added one sentence

[edit]

Hello. I'm a student in art librarianship. I'm working on this article for a class. I added one sentence to this article that has two inline citations. --LPScanlon (talk) 20:36, 21 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Over the past few weeks, I've added a few sentences and many citations. I believe that adding sections would be helpful for the article. Some section ideas might include History, Techniques and Practitioners. Additional images would also be very helpful. LPScanlon (talk) 19:32, 4 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
